Ohhhh, metallic raspberry you say?
I really do wish they had a way to paint your own car, then I would probably go with some sort of zebra stripe.

So that I don't gain an advantage by running the registration, I will disclose my SBC car choice. No one else is required to do so, but you can of you choose.
It was down to the Elan, alfa Giulia Sprint, and Mini. I decided to go with the Mini in British RacIng Green.
Should be a great series. I ran some practice sessions today. The MX5 tops out (without draft help) at 140 on the Mulsanne straight and runs sub-5 minute laps. The snow rally will be fun as well, he washboard straight is pretty exciting to skip down.

I don't know how many races I can make it on for, but I'll try to participate as much as I can.
In reply to BradLTL:
I've only driven the spec MX5 car at Nurburgring Gp course so far. I don't hit 140 there. I'm still playing around with three or four SBC choices. When I settle on one, I'll post it.
A few times in the last few days I set up an online race with all the rules for the spec MX5 race and not too surprisingly nobody ever enters them. (got one up now, was doing some practice laps)
I've decided and sent in my registration dealy already. Now the only choice is what to paint my SBC car... Should it match my miata?

Oh lord.....
Yeah, done some tweaking meself at Nurb and LeMans, got it handling right and think I got the speed right but i'll wait until the test Wednesday. I've had mine doneyou guys must be overthinking this haha my SBC was easy, I had that E36 M3 figured out right away and got er tuned hehehe
advise for those who haven't registered yet- try out your sbc car before you send in the messege. Don't merely pick one that you liked in GT4, and certainly don't pick based on which one you could most easily imagine a chimp driving, or you may end up with a car that handles much like a spinning doorstop, but without the coolness. I kinda wish I could've imagined a chimp driving an Elan, but I've already registered, and I guess I like drifting anyway...
As a side note, i've tested my sbc car a bit and i've learned a few things:
1- This thing has a shockingly high top speed, though it takes forever to get there (as a side note, I now wish I didn't say we should avoid route 7 and ovals lol)
2- The oversteer is slow and predictable, yet still becomes exponentially more impossible to recover at speeds above 120mph
3- ?????
4- Profit
As for paint, i'm trying to decide between matching my sbc car with the Miata, or use the weird bright pinkish color that you can get with a Lexus LF-A. I have both paint chips waiting for my decision...
Wow, damn, I just got done testing out my Izuzu GT-R and I was pretty much going to write the exact same thing, but thanks to you, I don't have to Even the list was down to tee haha except I had ? marks for 3. and 4. and obviously the chimp since....well... you are lol
If you want I can get on and swap cars haha I got some nice pinks! Would be nice if you could trade chips because well, I think between us two we have more colors than a Skittles factory
I already have a skittles factory going . I already went ahead and bought the LF-A for the paint chip, and I think i'm gonna stick with that pink. As a plus I can now give it to my fiance's GT5 account, and hopefully score some bonus points with her lol, if she every plays it again (wedding planning is time consuming).
I've been playing with adding ballast and moving it around to help cure the oversteer. If i move the weight to the front, the car won't oversteer as much around a long corner, but I can't put as much power down exiting corners. Eventually I'll figure out how to make it handle well enough, or i'll just slide wildly around every corner. Either way, it'll be good.
Stupid question... I'm on my wifes Mac and it doesnt seem to like the spreadsheet, whats the best way to view on Mac OS?
I'll be jumping in on the second race if that's ok. I don't have the spare scratch to get this until the 4th.

You'll get it extra horse once you get some mileage on your engine. I've run mine about 50ish miles.
I figured the Elan would be a popular choice which is why I picked my Izuzu haha
Pictures are gonna all have smoke in them
I find the Elan to be much easier to drift controllably than the 2002 Turbo. I played around with a Mazda Cosmos as well. I have an Alfa or two to try out still and a Mini. Also have a Spitfire. I usually buy any interesting car from the used car lot so I have a bunch of cheap cars that I've never driven instead of some of the multi-million dollar ones.
Nope. They're all red and I never drive them. Each time I start the game I have them washed.
I'm like a real Ferrari owner!
