I only drove it one or two laps so the setup was just a total SWAG. I couldn't make the Mini feel anything at all like my real one so I quickly cast it off as a potential SBC car. I figured the marcos might be ok, but ended up wanting RWD.

Series begins tomorrow!!!!! Everyone ready?

Reminder, SBC class will lead off at 9ET, 8CT, 7MT, 6PT and will be followed by the MX5 Cup. Based on my lap times, I am expecting the SBC race to last about 35-40 minutes. This will be followed by a 15 minute warm-up for MX5 cars. We should be able to complete both races in under 2 hours. I should be able to open the room early for anyone who wants to practice. I'm aiming for 7:30 CT, but the wife and kid might make it closer to 7:45.

For those of you who don't mind leaving the PS3 running, this will automate B-spec races for you:

We have 12 registered for SBC, and 7 for MX5 Cup (although I think there are more, a couple people just didn't mention it specifically).

At this point, you still have an opportunity to change SBC cars if you would like. Right now, no one is running the same car. I either haven't heard from (or more likely lost) the cars for:

• RealMiniDriver
• aircooled
• ahutson
• Racer1ab

If you get a chance send me another message. It's not the end of the world if you don't, it just makes my life easier from an admin prospective.

Can i be "in" starting on the 9th? I have no idea what car i'll be running yet. Picking up the game this weekend.

as for that automated thing, I dunno if I trust that yet lol it still looks "developement" How did one of yous get like 500 grand??

Yes. You don't have to run every event. Just send me a message when you are ready to join and have a better idea on what car you want to run. The Admin spreadsheet will give you an idea of what is available.

How can nobody be running the same cars? I though DaveEstey was using a ginetta, too? Did you chicken out?

Based on what the latest emails I have from everyone, no one is running the same car. I won't ruin anyone's surprise, if that is their intention. Although, if you read back through the thread most people have disclosed their car choice.

I say, let it be a surprise.

It would be nice if everyone could take a beauty shot of their car so those could be used when posting the results (resizing them of course). We also might consider doing a group shot for the first race by setting up a test race and just have everyone line up (since I don't think you can take pics when not in a race), then cancel the race.

Remember, when you paint your MX5, the theme for this season is:

"The Angry Pimp Parade"

Yeah surprize is good. I ruined my surprize! I even told you the color (passionate pink). If only I could paint the wheels... then i'd have angry pimp parade for both classes... I think I know what colors i'm gonna use for next season too, but it'll be more along the lines of "monkeys fling poo" than "angry pimps racing miatas".

I was planning on grabbing a shot of everyone's MX5 for the results. I will use the grid from the first event to get a base image.

You think I would have let those wheels on the Izuzu black like that? they'd be pink! I have so many good paintchips but we don't even know what next season is....we didn't even start the second LOL

Series 3 with be Hot Hatches and something else.... I am playing with the idea of an "Axis vs Allies" themed series. Just a teaser...

I'm still having trouble deciding what to run. I've seen some of you divulge running the Mini, Alpine and Elan. I might try to find something different.

I decided on something more French after hours and hours of testing.

I am pretty happy with the fact that we have 1 class where no one is driving the same car, and 1 class where everyone is driving the exact same car.
