Have the classes even been determined yet? I know everybody seems to be big saloon crazy, but is that even one of the next classes?

Most of my Saloons are already maxed out, so I guess I'll buy stockers whenever I see them pop up.

TJ, I used to go without oil changes on stuff too, but having to go and dig through cars and change oil when you find out you like driving them go old really quick, so I just do it automatically now.

I'm sure that I'll allow some mods.

Typically what I do is find the most powerful car available for a class and add a % to set the HP limit. Then I'll find the lightest car and use it's weight for the limit. In every class so far, the most powerful has never been the lightest.

So by allowing the powerful cars to lose weight and the light cars to add power, you create parity in the competition.

The most powerful is the E55 AMG, easily. 850hp fully tuned. Can't remember what it weighed all the way down, think it was mid 1400s.

However, it's completely unable to make use of that power.

I use stock numbers, to make the class. Then leave to you experts to decide the best manner to circumvent... I mean... work around my rules.

I seem to remember in GT4 the Carlton making more power...

I'm guessing drag final gears and a ridiculously high top speed for the E55. It's how I got my SL600 hitting just shy of 260mph on LeSarthe without a draft.

Shame you can't do liverys like in Forza, I'd paint an extra set of small doors on a Viper and claim it's a saloon.

Hey, figured out one reason why Apex seemed to be a lot faster then me last time (even in the straights)... I had my power limiter set to 80%!!!! Dohh! (of course the double front end damage may have had something to do with my pace later in the race)

I have to remember to check that, or stop using series cars online!

I did that with my 106 back when I was testing it. Went weeks wondering why it was so slow before I realized it was limited before I tuned it up.

After that it was 282 hp and quite faster.

I'm not sure if I am going to make it tomorrow or not...

Just in case, can someone else host?

Hmmm. Normally I would, but I am not sure when I will be getting home tomorrow. It might not be until after 5(6,7,8):30. If someone wants to try before that, go for it. If not, I should be able to put a room up by quarter to 6(7,8,9).

If I am going to be late (or on time), I should be able to post here. So, by 5(6,7,8) I should be able to be pretty solid if and when I can do it (if needed).

How's that for wishy washy?

I could do it.

Stuck watching my moms place while she's on a trip and don't have anywhere to be tommorrow.

Just put up a list of all the settings you normally use.

I figure I'll bring the room up around 8:30 EST.

If more folks start popping online before then I'll bring it on earlier.

Sums up my feelings nicely.

Did horribly the first race, same in the second.

Parked my car on lap 9 because of a "quick" phone call from a lady friend of mine.

Lo and behold, 12 minutes or so later, I managed to complete one more lap before everything was done.

In reply to Grizz:

That's how I felt after Monaco, so I know the feeling. I was when I saw that. I saw you run your Citroen into the wall at the end of the HH race. That told me what you were thnking and feeling @ the time. You're definitely fast @ times so keep working on it, especially braking which is my weakest ability. Slowly getting a little better though.

Thanks for hosting tonight.

Honestly, it was my fault. I've screwed up the suspension settings on those two cars so many times that I can't even remember what the good ones were. I say I'll take some time to figure them out or fix them, but then a friend will call me a hussy and challenge me to a race. And who am I to let that painted lady mock me like that?

I will say, my z06 and C4 launch like crazy. I pulled past damn near everyone both times at the start. I think the current Z06 setup is good for drifting, and therefore not good for racing. The C4, I dunno what I've done to it, but it was absolutely wrecking tires during the race. I couldn't get traction till I was hitting 4th gear in some areas of the track.

I think both races went well overall. I only did a few practice laps in the vette and it showed. I was ready to quit after the first few laps - just wasn't having any fun, but I figured finishing would be good practice for the hh race. I got sc penalty at the chicane 3 or 4 laps in a row. After the hay bales got moved out of the way I kept cutting inside too much and getting the penalty.

I wish I had a replay of qualifying for hh. In the limited practice I did for this race my best lap was in the high 2:15's and it seemed like 2:16 or so was going to be a normal lap for me. I did a few mediocre qualifying laps and was near the back of the field. Parked it for a few minutes and then pulled out behind Graefin. Figured it would be fun to follow him around a bit. Turns out he was ready to unleash a real corker of a lap. I managed to stay in his draft on the straights and had no problems keeping up on the slower turns. Ended up with some crazy qualifying time...I'm not sure what it was at this point, but I think it was a very low 2:12, or maybe even a 2:10. Crazy.

So I started on pole and was 3rd coming out of T1...not too bad since the DC5 is not a good drag racer. After Aircooled got past me for good, I settled in to lots of lonely laps. I couldn't quite make up the seconds on Grae and AC, but I could see them in the distance. I did a few 2:14 laps and didn't really gain anything on them. My only hope was that they took each other out in a giant crash with penalties. That didn't happen, but I saw their triangles swap positions a few times.

Oh, Aircooled, I wasn't trying to make a pass at the hairpin when I hit and you got the penalty. I was just trying to not rear end you and your braking point was a bit earlier than mine, so I dove to the inside in an effort to not smack your rear end. My car seems to be good on the slower corners and braking, but gives it up in acceleration and on the straights. After watching the replay, it didn't seem all that bad to me. I think if it weren't for the BS penalty I would've called it a forcefull pass, but the penalty was total BS.

I think for series 4 we will go to weak on the penalties. Too many BS penalties and 10 seconds is a long time.
