GRM - Gran Turismo 5 Racing League - Series 3

Gah. I miss racing with you guys so much but not only am I gonna be busy with school, and thesis writing, and a wedding, but I will be out of the country for 3 weeks and then in the woods of Connecticut for a month excavating once I get back. I probobly won't even make a few races like I did last season

Just as a heads up, the FTO in any form isn't legal for Hot Hatchbacks.

Strangely... i suppose a 3000GT SL would qualify.

I've barely turned the PS3 on since the last race. Having no power for 5 days didn't help. I did knock out 44 of 60 laps of the Grand Valley 300, paused the game to finish later then 6 hours later ejected the GT5 disk to watch a movie. Oops.

I know I have a few cars that are HH eligible - I'll probally just pick one that I already have and go with it. Like the Wind is easy money, but so boring. I got used to using my bob's to make money for me that I just have no motivation to drive around indy for 10 laps for money.

The FTO touring car exceeds the 990,000 trade limit by 3500 credits. Or I'd already have one. I don't need it, but I do want it.

2 things, I'm pretty sure all the 3000gts are 4WD, and my SL is about 1300 kg with all of 385 hp. It's surprisingly fast and handles very well, but it'd get massacred by fully done Hot Hatches.

@ T.J. If you don't have the motivation to run 10 laps at indy, run the American Championship Indy, it's only five laps and it pays more.

The SL is FWD, but is probably too heavy to be a real contender. Definitely on the tight courses.

Did the Indy 5 lapper twice. That is easy money and doesn't take too long. So far I've tried out two hot hatch ideas. One I already had, but it was completely stock. The other I bought just to try. They are similar power and weight, but drive very differently. Not sure if the one that is easier to drive will be competitive, but I might just use it because I like how I painted it.

I wish a had a b-specer or two not shared. I also would like to drive my RM Camaro and maybe another car that has been lost to the great PSN in the sky for weeks now. I tried to retire my Bob's, but you can't even do that if they are online.

Lucky for me, I took four of my Bob's offline a day or two before the crash. I've been letting them do all of the endurance races up to level 33.

I've been playing with the volvo c30... It's deceptively fast, I didn't expect it to be so capable! I have to play with the focus RS and a few honda's now too, but i really like my little inline 5 powered hatch...

I put a Volvo together yesterday and found it to be quick, consistent and easy (read forgiving) to drive. The EK Civic, on the other hand, while super light, is twitchy and unforgiving in my hands.

Echo on the forgiving, I like it enough it may become my HH entry even though it's pace may be a bit off of the faster hatches.

Testing out a 98 ek as we speak, still need to obtain a focus RS and see how she drives.

while i love the 9900rpm wail of the ek at 160+ mph down monza wc, I think I may find an alternative/better suspension tune... this things peaky power curve and super short wheelbase aren't doing it for me...

If either of you go for the Volvo, I call dibs on blue paint with yellow wheels in a Swedish flag inspired paint job.

Well, the ST202 is the fastest one i've tested so far, but it's an absolute bear to drive. Way too much power, spins through 3rd.

You know, we may need a regular GT5 thread, to keep me from derailing it...

I haven't driven many of my hatches, I'm probably just gonna stick with the Clio, unless I actually get around to tuning my C4.

Yeah, but those are for the series, me babbling about my SL600 doesn't really have anything to do with it.

Although I am perfectly willing to babble.

I am trying to get the 7th gen celica and/or the RSX to try, but right now my fastest is a tie between the 207gti and the ITR.

I will sit down and share my testing results soon (gotta fire up the PS3 to get it all)

I am going to try and do a rundown tonight of the 98 EK, 95 ITR, C30, and (if I can find one) Focus RS with my wheel. I have been initially trying all these and speccing them out with just a regular controller. I tend to be a few seconds faster per lap with a wheel, and MUCH more consistent!

Took me a while... Let's just say i've done all the rally special events.

If PSN comes back up soon, i can gift it to you. It's already fully modded, just tweak to your use. I don't think i'm going to use it. It's just barely too slow to hang with the RSX when N/A, but with the Supercharger it's too hard on tires/too much to control. May be faster with a wheel so you have throttle modulation, and just don't give it full throttle til 4th gear.

Of course, again... i didn't spend too much time tweaking. It IS fast, just hard as hell to drive fast.

I'll trade you for a Cyborg? I can't seem to get that one to come up in the used lot.

we may be able to arrange something... I think I saw one in my used lot last night... I wish the network was back up! what are the stats on the ST202? HP/Torque/Weight?
