Heh, for RoC, yes, my skyline was electric orange. GT Bummer was some italian yellow, saloon Audi was stock red. It has since been painted screaming yellow.
I also wanted to note that since this series is loosely based on what NASCAR "should" be, all participants will be required to have at least one sponsor and be required to thank that sponsor when they win.
yeah I thought so to, but the hatchback thing always had me second guessing but like you said Wiki sure considers it a saloon.
^ HAHAHA nice

I claim "Laughing Clown Malt Liquor"
Brad, do you recall what your qual. time was @ MR? I built a Lambo. just like yours and could get within about 1 sec. of the ZZII but never felt totally confident with it's sometimes evil handling traits. I was afraid of stuffing it into a guardrail or two within 10 laps. When I was behind you I saw your car do the exact same things. The tail would suddenly snap out. Anyway, just wondering what your time was.
Air, how come the "Chicken Pit" #7 has such monster front wheels and tires? It's not FWD is it?
I guess I'll go with "See Rock City".
So it appears that the first 2 rounds of this series are in doubt for my participation.
Round 1 - is a build night for my (IRL) Challenge Car Round 2 - is my Fantasy Football draft
Introducing the White Lightning Traditional Hootch sponsored Mazda RX8: Additional sponsors include: Wife Beater Clothing, the clothing choice of a new generation and AA, no we're not the auto club.
Also participating is the Turdmaster Bathroom Fixtures BMW M5, one flush guaranteed. Additional sponsors include: Golden Kernel Semi-Digestible Corn and Burlap Toilet Paper - The real mans choice.
Well after yet another tech visit from ATT, my internet has taken a huge turn for the worst. Doubtful that i'll be in for tomorrow.

In reply to aircooled:
I think there are 2 (maybe 3) cars in that list I don't already have, so I'll make sure to buy them. Not sure if I have the Honda S500/600/800 cars. I do have the S800 race car though.
I'd love to see a CSP311 Silvia in the flesh. I really like the shape of that one in the game.
I'm going to be moving and starting a new job in a new industry. Doubt I'll be able to make it for the first few weeks as a minimum. Hopefully will be settled in time to participate in some of this series. I think realistically I might make it back for week 6 or 7.
There were cars I wanted, but it updated while I was offline for a few days. Now I have all of the cars on the list. I'll probably buy a bunch of them anyway, 0 mileage ones are good to have, and most of those cars are really fun tuned up.
I haven't practiced at all, so I'll probably spend most of the day running on SS7 to see how my gearing should be set up. Or I might just say screw it and wait until the race tonight.

Good Luck and safety to you T.J.
The cataract in my L eye was removed yesterday. I woke up last night in a lot of pain. That didn't happen when I got my R eye done. Different surgeons. I took something for pain and finally got back to sleep for a while. Back to post-op this morning. I'm still planning on trying to make it tonight. If I can drive safely to the Dr. and back today I should be able to handle over 200mph, right?
Grizz, I'll be looking for you online today. Maybe we can practice together. Let me know if you'll be on @ a specific time. The hardest part of this track for me is forgetting where I am. I know it shouldn't be, but what can I say . . . ADD? IMO, this is a difficult track to run consistent fast laps.
I joined a room day before yesterday an a guy ran a 3:17 . . . in the Red Bull car. He was bouncing off the rev limiter @ 280mph but running flat through the esses.
Brad, are you going to host tonight?
Graefin10 wrote: Brad, are you going to host tonight?
Your 5-time champion is taking over hosting... right aircooled?
I can host if needed, I'll be about 20 feet from my PS3 in my garage. But I won't be actively watching or participating.
I will host.
The track is pretty redonkulous. Basically a land speed course with a kink (that you cannot take full speed) and drift corners on either end. Hopefully the draft will be good and the corners will allow stragglers to catch up (staying out of the trunks of those in front of course).
I did some testing. There is not as much difference in speed between the two cars as I would suspect, especially considering the 100hp difference. The wing does not have a lot of effect on the top speed surprisingly, maybe a few mph at over 200.
Make sure to leave some room in your gearing for drafting.
Just made it back from post-op visit and all looks good I'm told. My vision in that eye is already 20/35 without my glasses. I found out I don't have to wear the patch until bed time so I'll have two eyes tonight after all.
I'd like to see the whole pack stay in the draft until the end. One potential problem is someone in front bouncing off the walls @ the two ends of the track as the others approach. I'd never even heard of this track until Brad put it on the schedule. It's interesting that we have the two highest speed tracks to start the series. I hope we have a good turn out for tonight.
In addition to Air's suggestion of getting your gearing right for drafting don't forget to double check your hp to make sure you don't have to do a last minute change of bolt ons to get the hp set.
I should be on in a bit.
The two series cars seem to sit around 205 top speed without a draft, I might need to run some 1 lap races to see what the draft is like and what the settings need to be. Gearing for 230 is pointless if the cars are only going to do 215.
I had an idea for another series, low powered saloons/coupes. I noticed a lot of decent cars are running around the same hp/weight on the lower end of the scale. Course, I just want to run the 190Evo in a race, the street version handles just like the race version.
