We have until the end of July right? Asking for a friend!

That's gonna be awesome.
I would love for the cosworth engine to be re-released or copied by a resin maker or something so I could get a few of them.
I decided to make things harder on myself by opening up the side door. Still no idea how I'm going to mount it. But now the stuff inside should be easier to see.

Does it need assembly? Is it plastic? You're good.
Some small progress. Body needed a lot of clean up. Leaving most of the engine bay in chrome, because show car.
I'm struggling to make progress. But I got some wheels. These are from an old Revell "Truck Parts" accessory set.
Unfortunately the axle holes aren't quite big enough for this kit's plastic spindles, and the old plastic is a smidge brittle.
Nothing a little superglue can't fix though.
I decided to do a custom design slightly similar to the factory one, but with more purple. The silver paint didn't come out great but I'm going to just go with it. I'm waiting a few days for it to maybe stop being so tacky so I can tape it and put purple over the top half. I'm going to cut the stripes to just use the orange and yellow ones since I'm painting the purple.
Most silver sucks unless you gloss coat it. But...sometimes that will make it look mottled. Try in a test piece first.
Flame on.
So the flames are not the same side to side. Sorry, I procrastinated. No time to buy a vinyl cutter, learn the software, and print out a mask. Next time. I promise.

OMG you're doing the Corvette Summer paint scheme!!!
With the Sunday deadline looming I decided to clear off my table and try to get this thing finished.
No pictures but last night I got some work done on the interior.
Looks like its gonna be another last minute slog.
