Could be a module that lets you use the same bulbs for blinkers and brakes

Oh yeah the 8 track came out of my clown wheelie car! It used to play circus music.
You can't just casually throw out "clown wheelie car" without providing more details or pics. Please.

Glad you liked it!
The AC Delco is in fact an AC orifice tube. I learned that the GMT-800 used two different AC systems. Rock Auto was wrong about which one I needed and it wasn't worth sending back. The mirror was 2001 Suburban, the window motor, tube and brake caliper bolt (not cam timing) were 1999 Sierra 1500. Whoever decided a brake caliper should be held on with a star bit facing away from your vision should be shot. I replaced them with the GM alternate parts with a normal head.
The fuses - this year I finally went through the box 'o fuses I inherited from my Dad's shop. I realized that I don't have any cars that use those styles, and figured I would send them rather than trash them. I did like the Radio Shack package, that brought back a smile when I saw it, and the Littlefuse containers are legit old-school.
The gasket cutter I think also came from him. I've never used it and the game seems like the appropriate place to find someone that would - either you or through regifting. The rod end comment made me LOL.
Sway bar link is junk froma Jag XK8. There's supposed to be a rubber bushing in there, it was long gone.
BMW parts are E36 generation. The clock spring was a spare from replacing one with a melted connector from an airbag pop. Shifter and handbrake handle are E36 M3, as is the spark plug. There's also a valve cover bolt I see in the bottom of the box.
The weber thermometer is obviously.stuck. The beauty of keeping a box open throughout the year is things like that go to the box instead of the garbage to remind me of projects during the year. Or use it in a car to convince yourself you're always at 200, just short of smoke. Everything will be fine.
I found the Channel Lock bottle opener at the only car show swap meet I attended during the year. I had to get it when I saw it.
The hand drill is same story as above. Not sure if it was my Dad's or Grandpa's originally. I sent it hoping someone would find it interesting. I'm glad it's got a good new home.
In the box, not mentioned, I also spy a Boxster seatback clothes hanger thingy, a Saturn window regulator repair kit and something pretty cool - a coin from the Alaska chapter of the Miata club. Gent came to FL a couple years ago for Miatapalooza and brought those to give to folks.
The sensor holder that cracked was 944 crank reference mark sensors. One came out and one was frozen, and trying to remove it the entire mount gave up first. Turned a five minute job into a week-long affair of multiple flex extensions, cursing and prayers that a bolt wouldn't drop into the openings in the bellhousing. Somehow I ordered two mounts.

That came all the way from Hungary. Something you need if you have a tow hitch over there to pass inspection

This is an old pic but it's all I had laying around. This is from my second year as a clown (2008). Believe me I am a much better clown now!
Package should go out today. Evidently the local 3 post offices that used to close at noon on Saturday now close at 10, 10:30 and 11 respectively so that attempt was a failure.
The one I sent out claims it is out for delivery today. It was originally due in NYE, but ya know...
Mine has arrived but I can't open it yet because I still have to get to the post office and send one

I ordered one off the usps website, and my mail carrier dropped one off a day or two later.
A very full and efficiently packed box has arrived from Oklahoma (a place that I have never been!).
In spite of the fact that there was a name on the return address label, and that he has actually sent stuff to my house before, I had a hard time at first connecting that name to a screen name.
More on that later.
It's immediately clear that there's some kind of freaky coincidence going on here, or the sender did some very good research/stalking. He either owned a Volvo 850 at some point, or stumbled upon one in the junkyard. Doesn't matter, there's some very cool stuff in here.
First up is the owner's manual for a 1997 Volvo 850. The car on the cover looks exactly like the one that my parents bought new in 1996. Along with this, is a Volvo factory tool kit, complete with the original, Genuine Volvo white gloves! Also in there is a new oil filter, but not just some random oil filter that he had sitting on the shelf in his garage, but this one actually fits my (dog's) car! And bonus, it includes not only the elusive drain plug gasket, but even a brand new magnetic drain plug!
Staying with the Volvo theme, there's a bag of random Scandinavian hardware, some pages torn from a Volvo shop manual, including wiring diagrams that are missing from the new manual that I bought! There's also a pair of proper light bulbs that fit on the end of one of those wiring diagrams. It's as if he read through my entire V70R build thread.
Next up is this bizarre little mystery tool...wait a minute...not only do I know exactly what this is, I can actually use it! It's a hex/torx combo built into a little plastic torque wrench. These came with the optional Genuine Volvo accessory roof racks and were designed to let you know when the mounting racks were tight, but not too tight. I have a set of those racks, but not the tool! Wow!
As I continue to sift through this massive pile of stuff, I find several Hot Wheels including a Rescue truck that's surprisingly similar to the one that I drove almost daily for about five years, some screwdrivers and bits, Timken bearings for a trailer that I can probably put to good use, a Round Tuit, some car wash tokens, keys to at least two different Hondas, one of which looks like it could have been from one of my old Civics or the CRX, a motorcycle intake manifold, wheel center cap, an emergency fishing kit with which I may be able to catch the third fish in my lifetime (not likely), a really nice pair of pliers that will probably end up in my fire gear, GRM stickers (I never had a Dork sticker before!), Volvo in-dash CD storage system with CDs (including BOTH discs from the Forrest Gump soundtrack!), some kind of little OBD II scanner, the fuel gauge from a Ford F150, F250, Bronco (1973-1977, doesn't even say "Unleaded Fuel Only" yet!), various plastic clips and key chains, a package of battery post insulators, a box of Folger's Crystals (in case Mr. Bookman ever stops by!), some Deep Woods Off wipes, rodent repellent bags, an LL Bean thermometer, a bag of fuses, a trailer reflector, a face shield like the ones we wear on medical calls at work now, and an Oklahoma license plate featuring a Porsche friendly number on it!
There's also a very cool wooden burl cutoff...
...and a connecting rod that appears to have had a very bad day....
Upon further examination, I discovered that this is a high quality German connecting rod, one that had likely made a guest appearance out the bottom of a Porsche Boxster's very expensive engine case.
At that point, a very dim 6v light bulb went off inside my head and I realized that the sender was none other than AAZCD, a man who isn't afraid of anything from Germany!
And finally, a little bag of chocolate covered pomegranate things.
Not only were these things absolutely delicious, but they proved that I will, in fact, accept candy from strangers.
Sorry Mom.
Thanks, AAZCD! This was awesome!

Weird. I gave mine to the USPS on the 30th and it got almost all the way to the north side of the country three days earlier than it was supposed to.
In reply to 93EXCivic :
Hey, I know what that is!
I failed my stupid vehicle technical inspection because I had a trailer hitch but didnt have this LED bulb installed in my dash. Apparently out here you're supposed to have an LED in your dash that lets you know if your turn signals on your trailer are working.
Well. I bought that there kit and was about to install it, when I noticed that I DID infact have the LED doo-hickey installed in my dash and that my inspector was just blind (and not in a good way).
So! If you ever install a trailer hitch on your car in Hungary, you're one step ahead of the game with your dashboard LED requirements

Glad it worked out well for you! The detective work on my end was easy when I saw the CT address and searched my old emails. For the magnetic drain plug, use with care the first time. I'm not 100% certain which car/truck I originally bought it for. I regret there was no room for dog treats, but the car stuff is for Violet too.
In reply to AAZCD (Forum Supporter) :
So I have to know...
Did you own one, or did all that stuff come from a trip to the junkyard?
And did you know what the roof rack torque wrench was?

First up was a phone mount (not sure it'll fit mine but I'll give it a shot, and a buckle buddy?Along with a skeleton hand we used to pet the dog and will save for next spooky season.
A small parts tote that I will definitely use for all the small wiring parts I have lying around un-organized, a bag of ear plugs (always useful - especially with a baby coming in a few weeks), Jumper cables, and what looks to be some sweet vinyl graphics!
Whole Haul: Includes Octoberfest drinking dice, which look like they should be a ton of fun, a (motorcycle?) Brake fluid reservoir, Air Shim (pup loved/hated this one??), what looks like a timing chain, LED side lights, a few stickers (Wife liked the Team Nutz sticker), some wire, a seat belt extender, US Navy Seal book, and an Amazon echo(?).
Ton of sweet stuff, and I really need to find a home for these graphics, cause they are sweet.
Glad it arrived OK. The Amazon thingy turns any speaker into an Echo device. You need a radio or something with a speaker.
You'll need to log in to post.
