Lots of cool stuff packed in the NYG box that arrived from Georgia today. I'll be wearing both the hat and shirt. I have wanted a Coupe Clip, but can never find one at the store. Small work light, old school flashlight reminds me of the military. Flasher module for emergency vehicles. MAF for a big intake. Nice deep ¼” 10mm. Air pump for the emergency car kit. Very cool patches to sew on a jacket. Big fuses and a compact multi-tool. One H4 bulb in case One burns out. That flap disk will probably be used soon for stripping off some bad paint and surface rust on a couple projects. The leather wrapped shift knob will probably go into the RallyX Boxster where the previous owner had a large men's appendage for a shift knob. Two big bits, the larger of which looks like a jack hammer tool. ...and more!

Almost all of this is going to be used. I get a Sunpro gauge every year and I think I'm ready to install them now. The big bits and the legacy box are likely going on the shelf to be shared again next year.

Awesome Box, Thanks!

My box is packed, but my attempt to drop it off was met by a less than enthusiastic postal staff. They decided to close early and pull the curtains closed. I mean I don't think my box is that heavy that they need to run and hide.

I did mine at the self-service kiosk. Got postage and all and didn't have to talk to anyone until my box jammed the chute so it wouldn't close.

A box arrived surprisingly early yesterday (given our mail carrier's typical timing)- it looks like whoever got me did a pretty good job of figuring out who they were sending a box to. I hope to have the chance to open it up and go through it this evening- I apologize for the delay.

And looking at the tracking, it seems that the box I sent out should arrive today... here's hoping that my forum stalking wasn't way off or I could have one very confused recipient (though honestly, I'm likely going to need to explain a few things in the box regardless...).

Excitement got the better of me. I was so itchy to open mine that I stayed up late last night and got the victim's box packed and labeled. With that sent out today, the three-year-old and I ripped into my box. Frankly, I'm a little overwhelmed.

First off, the box, seen previously:

Kick-booty box art. Seems like a shame to slice the box open, but them's the rules. Out comes the trusty Gerber Dime, and we're greeted with this:

Happy faces all around. Dig a little deeper...

A little deeper...a little deeper yet...how deep does a flat rate box go, anyway?

All the way to the tarp, apparently.

Obviously, the kid laid claim to the kid stuff (including a trophy he most assuredly did not earn) right away and requested - demanded, really - that we see what's inside the black car.

Answer: more cars. Lots of cars. Fifteen of the blessed things. And they're excellent. The boy is happy. The wife is less happy, because she sees that glorious T/A and knows I'm going to be talking like the Snowman and addressing every animal in the house as Fred for the rest of the night, come back?

On to the grown-up stuff. A bag of MegaSquirt stuff, like a JimStim that's decades newer than mine, a signal interceptor board, and a mess of components. An only partially broken plastic mess kit, a bottle of hot sauce I can't wait to regret trying, some piston rings for some teeny tiny Honda, and my very own pet cock. And a multimeter that actually works!

Florida stuff! Got a fresh license plate and few branded goodies like a super mega absorbent towel, a clear pouch (for your wet swimsuit, I assume), a bottle of highly portable sunblock, a koozie, and a lightweight poke. No jerky in it, though.

Next up are the contents of the Spotless Drying chamois sleeve (two cans of genuine adult beverage all the way from Gainesville); a travel mug (the aforementioned chamois, a Snap-On belt buckle, and a couple of bimetallic thermostats of indeterminate origin; and the sticker bag (stickers, and lots of 'em). Hot dawg!

And the last batch: some highly premium 5-1/4 speakers, a genuine Snap-On 1/4" ratchet that has some life in it yet, some bike tools that remind me how out of shape I am, some Z51 brake rotor cooling rings (that's a thing?!), a power waxer, a velcro buzzy wheel, some sway bar end links for some Hyundai or another, and a Lexus branded mini Maglite. Also a big chunk of steel that could be anything and may of may not be used against me in a court of law. Lastly, a fabricated steel hanger assembly I can't figure out, resplendent in an evocative shade I'm calling "prune milkshake" - which, frankly, is a hell of a lot less appealing than this beer.

Whoever you are, I'm impressed. Many thanks. Nicely done, Mystery Member.

I apologize in advance for the potential for broken glass, but the reward was worth the risk in my humble opinion.

What kind of coolness do I have here? Is that a Bentley emblem I spy? Why yes, yes it is. That is very cool and pretty appropriate to boot. Thanks!

Thank you, GRM member in CT, for the seemingly never-ending box of stuff.

It started off innocently enough...

...and completely exploded after that:

The FCP Euro swag and Porsche Motorsport t-shirt are particularly appreciated! Other bounty included a nice knife, some good reading material, more stickers than can be used in a reasonable lifetime, cool Hot Wheels, a random Honda plastic piece, some wood thing, and so much more and completely random wonderful stuff from all over the country. And, of course, the bottle of deez (lug)nuts (I'm assuming from a Jeep, based on the bottle cap drawing),

And a cool what looks to be 3D printed Leatherman holster

Definitely need to step up my random-stuff game for next year!

It arrived around noon on Monday, so yes- a bit under two days. Unfortunately it took me until last night to get the chance to open it, and now to have a chance to upload the pictures and comment on it.

First off- the box itself. I always feel bad that I'm perpetually lax in decorating the boxes that I send out, but that was definitely not a concern with this one:

No worries, wasn't planning on exchanging or getting refunds for anything. Next up- the opened box.

That envelope on top contained one of the more curious/unusual of the contents of the box...

A sheet of photo negatives that appear to have been taken from a boat. I'll admit to being very confused, but it's definitely different...

Next up was something a good bit more familiar- 3 Hotwheels, including one of my DMC-12. I had to wonder (since having bought a case of the original release of them and including one in every box I've send out for the gift exchange) if this was perhaps one that I'd sent out that had made its way back to me. :P

Next up- some miniature light bulbs that I'm frankly shocked didn't get broken, a very hefty hunk of aluminum, some Miller welding charts, a neat sticker, and some wire/fishline (that we actually could have used over the weekend when we hung a few things we got for Christmas).

This was honestly one of my favorite things from the box, because the cheap HF bench vise I'd had for a while broke a while back and I've not had one and this looks to be the perfect size. I'm sure it was also 90% of the mass of the box!

Next- several rolls of tape (including a bit of LEGO tape, which I've also sent out a few times in these boxes...), severeal mystery chunks of wood, a wall hook, sticker, and what looks to be the hood ornament from a Ram truck/van- which The Dancer (who was observing my opening the box with a mix of confusion and concern) decided she needs to turn into a trophy for when we play Catan with her family (as due to some initial confusion we refer to the sheep/wool resource instead as goats...).

A pair of HF safety sunglasses, a small vise clamp (likely for welding), an old wood-handled screwdriver, and a very large (but somewhat shockingly -not- the largest I own...) combo wrench.

A hefty grounding strap, some random coax splitters and connectors, a flashlight, what looks like the belt from a belt sander, and by far the largest Bowie knife I now own. Seriously, that thing is about worthy of a line from a Paul Hogan movie...

And finally- 3 bags of cookies, which unfortunately didn't fare the best with all of the hefty chunks of metal in the box with them.

Thanks Recon1342! I am curious what the story is with the photo negatives...

Good guess, and confirmed by a coworker who's better at shooting his groceries than I am. Thanks for clearing that up!

My sender didn't leave his forum handle anywhere in or on the package, but against all odds, I think I've positively identified him. He's a very shadowy (ahem) figure. Unfortunately, that means we can no longer formally address him as Mystery Member. Such is life...

I mean, hell, you just used it twice. I don't see any reason you can't continue to do so as and when you please. Maybe not in a populated public restroom, but other than that, let 'er rip.

Okay...  I got a box.

I never got the email of who to send a box to.  I actually thought I missed my opportunity until a strange box showed up with hazmat stickers all over it and then it dawned on me!

Any help?

I board messaged Mr Bill. It's only been a day since I sent the message, but I got a full box and don't want to be the last person.

I have kept my box as intact as I received it so that I send mine out before I open this one!

Thanks yall!

Darn you, DarkMonohue! My clever little plan has been spoiled! cool

The MegaSquirt is a past gift, the tiny rings are for a 305, and the coat hanger is from BayCargo, and I only got it for the block and tackle to hoist small Honda engines onto my work bench. My body is not what it once was.

Small Mea Culpa: Occasionally I'm stupid, and I went into the Post Office and snagged a "large box." When I mailed it the nice lady informed me I did not have a flat rate box, (I think she let me slide because of the "art work.") and told me don't do that again. The box I used is 2 inches larger...

I had so much fun I think I might do it again... laugh

Glad you enjoyed it!
