Maybe not so much a plumbing question as a plumbing related question
One of the body jets in our shower has come loose inside the wall. What I mean by that is the piping inside the wall is loose and is allowing the nozzle to droop and sorta flop around. The right way to fix it is rip down the tile it's in, fix the clip holding the pipe in place then replace the tile. Instead of that i'm hoping there's a structural type of expanding foam available I can squirt into the hole to lock the pipe in place. Any ideas?
It'd be asking for trouble down the road if anything leaks of needs any other attention.
you can open the wall from the other side though which should just be drywall and not shower wall (tile?) and fix it properly.
The other side of the wall is our kitchen tile backsplash. I know what I should do I just don’t want to do it.
This one time I was being quick(ran out of 90* sweat elbows but had it in my bag) and used a sharkbite on a tub spout not thinking it was going to swivel. In a moment of “this B is between a brand new tub and a tiled in jacuzzi tub on the other side i jammed the pipe straight with a shim and sprayed great stuff around it through the pipe hole. It worked perfectly, not my proudest moment but it worked. Did enough to encapsulate the sharkbite and stick all the pipe to the studs and drywall and probably the tub surround too. It’s worth a shot really, because if you have to end up breaking out some tiles the foam isnt bad to pull out. Would do it from the kitchen side lest you compromise the waterproofing membrand that should be under the shower tile
