Just wanted to say thanks to all of those who have been using tagging their Instagram photos with #grmphoto. It's neat to see what catches your eye.
I also noticed a hashtag from one our regulars for #grmdog....

Despite how curmudgeonly my wife tells me I am, I really enjoy looking through these photos on IG.
This sure is a cool (debatable) and diverse (not debatable) group of people.
I've been slacking on Subarust, MR2 and Abarth photos. The weather has been just crappy enough to not do anything with any of them, but not enough snow for interesting Subarust hooning photos. I should post more pit bull photos.

Thanks for liking!
I'll be sure to tag more of that type of stuff in the future.

Was it @dogsofgrm that I noticed? Either way, funny. Hey, if it helps people navigate and find photos, I'm cool with it.

You do.
I honestly enjoy looking at the pictures people take. Not just what they post, but the ones they actually take the trouble, to get out the phone, and shoot a picture.
I'll have to go flag some of my pet pictures.
Tagged some of mine with #grmdog. A couple didn't look very dog like for some reason. Could be because they were cats.
Well I guess I better download instagram again. And here I thought I didnt have a use for it anymore.
As an aside, pretty crazy legit likes from all around the world come in so quickly when a specific interest pic is posted to IG. It moves fast--way faster than twitter, IMHO.
I just wonder how there are people with 8 photos and 1000+ followers. I don't quite get the "like sharing" thing or the "fake followers" thing on IG. I don't even understand what getting extra likes accomplishes outside of status.

I won't even be a smartass with this:
On twitter, the hashtag serves two purposes. One is to summarize what you just tweeted. #explanationwiz
The second is to make your tweet searchable on a certain topic. There was a funny one not long ago "CalmDownABand". So if you tweeted something line "Reason Against The Machine #CalmDownABand", everyone else on twitter could search "CalmDownABand" and see the tweets related to that hashtag. This can be done with anything--right now, I'm assuming #inflategate is a big one in the NFL realm. You could search that on twitter and see all of the thoughts on that topic.
Same deal on instagram, but it works a bit more streamlined. If I take a bicycle-related pic, I'll tag it #bicycle #bike #velo #bikeporn etc... and it'll pop up on the searches of people who have searched those hashtags in the past. That's how someone in Japan will see and like a photo of mine in minutes. It's pretty neat.
You'll need to log in to post.
