Did we pick a time yet? I'm ok with either, but like ultraclyde, sobriety may wane as the evening progresses...

I will try and make it on later. We made it over 60 degrees today so tonight might be a garage night

Reminds me of college when we’d give blood then drink for the cheap buzz.

+1
Except it was sell plasma. You could do that twice a week.
Donating blood, you could only do every 6 weeks.
AND we're up. Sorry for the inexact time. Wasn't sure what the wife had planned tonight. Turned out to be pizza. Quick dinner got me out of more "Love is Blind" episodes. Score!
I had to bounce when I ran out of laptop battery. I will have to grab that cable too next time I want to Zoom from the shop.
Thanks again John for setting these up! I have enjoyed participating and the break from day to day crazy. Show and tell in the shop tonight was fun.
I'm glad these are happening, unfortunately being on the West Coast and with young kids makes attending difficult since it's at prime dinner/bedtime.
From what little I saw/heard it was a good time. Thank you for setting these up, I think it's helped quite a few. This is why I love and support GRM.
Do not use Zoom there have been recent daily security/privacy/fraud issues that go beyond stupidity and well towards the outright evil (I believe criminal).

I can go on, Zoom should not.

Did you make a thread for that Olds yet? If you didn't, it'd be a lot cooler if you did.

Your car is awesome
I just got in from the garage. My WiFi was kind of sketchy tonight, but it was great listening to you guys.
so, is there any interest in a "saturday morning coffee" chat next saturday? that'll probably be the only way I end up in one of these, I think?

The bottom line is don't say or do anything on the internet that you don't want the world to see. Follow that rule and there is no problem with Zoom or any other internet based system.
Now that being said there are issues out there with minors being recorded and it being used for medical appointments and other personal stuff that need to be addressed. I would not use it for that. I also saw the Zoom it's self has got out in front of this trying to implement fix's as soon as they can.
Back off the ledge a bit. Zoom is not perfect but it is absolutely fine for what we are doing here even with the issues that people have raised about it. Scaring people away from it with conspiracy theory's that the Chinese are watching us is just silly and even if they are who cares. Next time I use it I will make sure to wave and smile at them.
