I should probably start my own thread but since this one is already here I'll just add to it.
Stopped by the local store to window shop and handle a couple more guns.
I've come to the conclusion that the small framed 380s are just going to be too small for me. If I step up to a larger framed gun then why stick with the 380, might as well get a more powerful 9mm.
So I'm thinking single stack 9 at this point. Handled most every one they had but really like the S&W M&P shield. Felt really nice.
Ive shot a few rounds through the sheild. I wqnt one. Fits my hand perfectly. Just not willing to spend the money yet.

Something like a Springfield 911 might be right up your alley then.
I able to handle a Kimber Micro and Micro 9. They're ok and way more ergonomic than the Ruger LCP and LC9 not sure I'd want to spend that kind of coin on them though.
I've had a M&P Shield 9mm for several years and love it. It fits my hands perfectly, and points well. The only issue I had with it was with cheap aluminum case ammo. Never had an issue with brass ammo and I probably have over 1,000 rounds through it at this point.

How is it to carry?
Definitely want to hear. Especially pocket carry. In slacks.

Re: your Lorcin - it's most likely the magazine spring or the follower. If you keep it loaded all the time, the springs can take a 'set' and lose some of their push at full extension.

I missed that you replied to me. Re the 42:
I mostly put Winchester white box FMJ or Hornady Critical Defense through it. Never an issue, from shot 1
