Oderus left us on this day seven years ago. Just before his passing, he was a guest on the GRM podcast. (Like, seriously, that's not a goof.)

How weird.  Just last night the wife and I got a hankering for some nostalgia and watched Empire Records.

They played Tallahassee a few times, I never got to go see them but my wife says she did.

Wasnt a GWAR fan...but saw them live and loved it

Since his passing just doesnt seem interesting to me anymore, he was the center of the band

Even though some of the GWAR-B-Qs have some good lineups

Losing Oderus was a gut punch, but Blothar seems to have brought the band back more to metal.

Dave's genius is in the fact that all members of GWAR can be replaced (if you can call it that.) That way the band can live on forever.

I can't believe it's been that long already.

I just listened to the whole podcast, good interview, though I'd have loved some more car-related stuff, but that's ok.

So, was there ever any more talk of a GWAR-CAR?

And I didnt realize Lamb of God was a) from Richmond, and b) shared space with GWAR. Seen them both, both awesome live, prefer the styling of LoG a bit more but GWAR is much more creative and original with their band.

Shame we lost such a great music mind, so young too. Again, not a big fan of the music, though I LOVE punk rock, but their live set was just bonkers - saw them about 15 years ago. Maybe 12.
