It kinda sounds like you don't believe him?
$10 says he swapped in a Euro speedo and hit 208 KPH.
If it's really boosted ("double dual exhaust , tint , chip, turbo k&n cold air intake") there's some chance it might be possible...but not with just a CAI, exhaust and a reflash.
In reply to GameboyRMH:
Judging by him saying it's a "track an show car" and it's a "hot road", I'm gonna chalk it up to another ignorant "street ricer".
If the 600 hp number is legit, the speed claim is within the realm of the plausible. But I have to admit I don't fully believe all the specs...

Hey now, did you see the spelling on the ebay listing for that sweet gearhead house the other day? A lot of rich, and sometimes even smart people can't spell worth a damn
It's not impossible to have a "track and show car," it's just a form of hardcore masochism.
In reply to GameboyRMH:
Oh I agree it not impossible, just look at SEMA. Most of the time though, when people put those two phrases together, it's usually a poorly executed show car with a rollbar(if that). If you call hooning around a grocery store parking lot after hours on a Friday night a track, then people like this guy are legitimately selling track day/show cars.
Okay, now back to making fun of his grammatical errors.

If you look at the rest of the pics, it's not. I'm guessing that the dude doesn't actually know what a turbocharger is.
In reply to 16vCorey:
You mean this?
Like I said, street ricer. Just using catchy words to sell his masterpiece. "His loss, your gain."
All this is true. But, despite the ad being a total joke, the owner being a total idiot, and the car being riced out, $7,500 for an E46 M3 is a pretty good deal.
In reply to Antistance:
Not sure what I'm gaining but that magic turbo better have one of these in it.
It's sort of like a compressor section. Just housed in the intake.... Or something like that.
I'd pay for the dyno time just to see the dudes face. Then use it to low ball him. 50 bucks per HP missing? Horsepower isn't cheap.

Not a beaten to berkeley, clapped out, owned by a neglectful dumbass E46 M3. These things don't mind racetrack abuses, but they definitely DO NOT like neglectful retards that own them.
I mean, you'd probably be better off buying a nicer condition one for 4k more.
Meh, I own an E46 and don't mind working on them. I also don't mind reversing others' bad decisions. I'm not a betting man, but I'd wager that I can get it back into shape for way less than $4k, as long has it hasn't been over-heated or something.

You sir are a bit braver than I.....
On that note, are s54's still pulling $5-7k?

This is exactly what the ad should say. Cut and paste for real.
Well, dang. It's got a chip, yo. I bet that thing cruises at 200 MPH.
Just looked at the under hood pics in the ad. That's a pretty stealthy turbo. Guy must make a lot of money street racing. At 208 mph.
Man, I hope this is a joke. Please tell me he's not serious.
I used to work with a guy who made up stuff all the time.
Real quote 1:
"My X-terra has so much horsepower that it burns out and doesn't even move."
Real quote 2:
"Oh, yeah, my civic would have smoked your camaro. It had a turbo."
"Do you know what a turbo is?"
"Yeah, it's the big circle that sits on top of your engine, spins around, and injects electricity into your gas tank."
That sounds just like a guy from my work. Has a 1999 Mustang GT. With a twin-turbo Hendrick NASCAR engine. Runs 6's in the 1/4 mile and has a special exhaust to make it super quiet. Also has a 05 Shelby GT500KR. 05. It has super low miles and he wont drive it to work, even if I pay for the gas. It is an investment. Meanwhile this guy hasn't invested in dental insurance and is without 3/4 of his teeth.
I think that BMW for 7500 isn't too bad. Tell him that you will trade him 6000 of President Obama's own money for it.
^Hey give the guy a break, tall tales are probably all he has to enjoy in life.
