So far we've only had 3 kids show up - what about you?
Hopefully we get a lot of kids. We have a ton of candy to hand out. (Hey, we were hungry when we went shopping.)
Slow for me so far, but the sun isn't down just yet (6:30 PM Eastern). That's when the hobgoblins REALLY come out. Hope they like Smarties.

I knew there was a reason why I didn't buy those bike throttle bodies yet!
Hard rain here, not a single kid. Out on the streets, more than a few people walking, I have no idea where to or why. It's a freakin' storm!!
Porch light is on, pumpkins are lit, Katie's in a cape and fangs, ready to hand out the candy... and not a single trick-or-treater. They all go to the "estate" neighborhood down the road, where they hand out full-size candy bars. Guess I can't blame 'em.

Zombies ignore rain for BRAINS....
Well, we had a steady run and had about 50 kids show up. Not too bad considering it's hovering around 0 degrees C and there's snow on the ground.
we've lived in this house since '63.... the only trick-r-treater we've ever had was the through the path in the woods neighbors kid for about 3 - 4 years back in the '80s .... 'course it's a 175' gravel driveway on an 18% grade (36° up angle), no lights anywhere (especially the porch lights ) shaded with giant white pine trees ... makes it even darker... all on a dead end rd
Run out of candy and turned the light off. I went with our 9 year old and my wife stayed at home. Favorite comment from my kid as she walks back from a door with a Twinkie in her hand 'What's this?' She's never even seen one before
We skipped and went to housewarming/Halloween party with about 120 people. slightly more than 1/2 being kids
No sign of any trick-or-treaters at my house.
I guess none of them were up to swimming across the moat. Sissies.
I didn't buy any candy for the kids this year, so I turned out the porch light to ward them off. Unfortunately, they kept coming anyway. (The garage door was open and Dad and I were sitting in the garage discussing engine placement in the datsun.) I felt like Scrooge McDuck as I had to keep telling them that I didn't have anything for them.
[A friend suggested that I offer sharp, rusty scraps of sheet metal and tubing. ]
I got some candy and left it out front but there haven't been a whole lot of people but a couple families with children going around. Didn't stop some youngster from emptying my bowl but luckily I split it in half just for that reason and I've only had two groups of kids knock on the door after that.
Had an initial run of about 100 kids in the first hour. We thought we might run out so I ran to the local store and grabbed a couple big bags of Sweet Tarts and suckers. After that, we had about 20 kids over the next 3 hours.
Looks like we're finished. Had a steady stream up until 9:15. This year's popular costumes: zombines (duh), mummies (surprise there), princesses, ninjas, Batman, bees, Buzz Lightyear plus Woody and assorted cowboys. We also had probably the best infant Yoda ever and a really good Gumby.
I'm in SO Fl and none of the immigrants even let their kids out at all on Halloween where I live. People walk by regularly most evenings but on Halloween there's not a soul on the streets. If you drove through during the day you'd figure there'd be quite a few Trick or Treaters because of the look of the neighborhoods and number of kids everywhere but on Halloween there's not a single person on the streets. I'm going to try questioning one of the adults that understands english (sort of) and find out why.
