Despite the scorching heat (it reached 44 with the Humidex in Toronto!) I had a really good track day yesterday. Once I relax and get over my nerves, my inputs become much smoother.
Occasionally, I can find that zen-like state where it's almost like a ballet with the car. Yesterday was like that, it just felt calm and smooth and... right. I was later told I'd done 240km up the Andretti straight.
Life is good.
Sounds like fun! (Though I don't speak Metric...)

240 km/h is about 150 mph

Damn, I have only gotten to 115 mph on two tracks. I don't know if I could handle 150 mph.

Lesley, please stop teasing us and at least tell what you were driving.
I know a woman likes to keep her secrets, but damn, just damn.
I like Mosport, but I adore Calabogie! I've only driven Mosport in my Miata -- and I reached 150 on the Andretti straight, too. Calabogie was perfect yesterday -- mid 20s, no humidity.
KPH . . .

In a Miata??? I had 550hp to get there - barely cracked 200 in a 135i earlier in the day.
Edit: LOL, I missed the kph :-)
My MX3 was about the same. Haven't had it out with the new engine yet.
I'm glad that everyone thinks that the Panamera is an ugly sacrilege. That way, in about five years, I can scoop one up off lease once someone else has taken the depreciation hit.
I don't care what they look like.

I love the 3/4 view. Where the topline meets the rear quarters is a little bit ungainly, but I wouldn't say ugly.
It's no 911. But don't believe all those squabbling car reviewers saying it can't handle. Some of the instructors there were former Trans-Am and ALMS drivers, and that car impressed them.
It's a big berkeleying car, yeah. But it sure ain't the sacrilege it's been painted to be.

my car and 150mph usually don't get used in the same sentence ... maybe that fast if dropped out of a B52
High speed = Good fun!
I made about 140 mph in a Mustang (not mine) at Pocono one time. That's my max speed ever in a car.
And about120 in my own street Miata (also at Pocono).
Race car can make maybe 103 mph on really, really good day.

That's really, really cute.
I'm hoping to get my MX-3 out on the big track again this summer. With 200hp, it will be a different beast than the last time I had it out (135hp).
I think I am with AntiStance I have gotten to 115 max on the back of Road Atl, at that was once not consistently. I was told I could max out at Charlotte motorspeedway doing the R0val but that was not int he cards on street tires. I have been in an Evo at Road Atl that was doing 130 and got passed with a 40 or 50mph closing speed by a superchaged NSX and it scared the crap out of me. Maybe one day I'll see 150 on the speedo while driving on track but it will take much more car than I have.

Yah, I did a solo sprint day last year and the first time one of those crazy modded vettes shot past it scared the ever-loving E36 M3 out of me. But if you hold your line you realize the really fast guys know what they're doing and will go around.
