Happy Independence Day

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Independence Day. Also, thank you to all members of the armed forces past and present for your service.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

I've always liked the idea that Independence Day is celebrated on the 4th every year, regardless of the day of the week. None of this nonsense of moving it to Monday or Friday to ensure a three day weekend.

Today seemed like the perfect day to retire our old worn flag and fly a new one. Made in the USA, of course.

As forward thinking and visionary as they were, I think to see the way our civilization has evolved, they would have a hard time recognizing our society as following the script they wrote.

I do kinda wonder if they would say strip it all back down to what they wrote or if they would take it all away and start from scratch. I do think the Internets would blow their minds.
