Happy New Year everybody. Fireworks have been going off for the last couple hours here. Three of four cats have been hiding as a result. Oldest of the bunch has been sleeping the whole time and could give two berks about them. 

Fireworks started going off 2 hours ago here sporadically.  Depending if I can stay up and find it, may hit the air horn a few times at midnight like last year.

Pretty much right at midnight the spastic dog freaked out because of the fireworks and ran from the basement to jump on me on the couch.  Pissing. The. Whole. Time.  Up the stairs, all across the floor, all over the couch, and all over me.

I hope that's not an omen.

Ask your vet for an antianxiety medication for next July.  
 

If they recommend acepromazine to sedate the dog, find another vet. The ace will keep the dog quiet, but it sensitizes them to noise. They're still freaking out, just unable to show it.
 

I only use ace for dogs that do things like jump out of windows. When closed. Upstairs. Yeah, they'll do that. Actual case. 
 

Oh, and Happy New Year to all. Lots of fireworks last night, much less gunfire than in recent years.

Not one for resolutions but I hope to make every piece of E36 M3 in, and around, the Toilet run this year so I can unclog it and get work done on multiple cars. Gosh that would be great...

sporadic rain last night minimized the fireworks, and heavy rain and storms today will minimize any fun. So we'll be starting 2021 like we spent a lot of 2020...on the couch watching movies.

My new years resolution is the same as last year.

At least until this computer monitor breaks. Then I'll get a new resolution.
