I need to get a jack for my miata and I was looking at the 2.5 ton heavy duty jack. It has a low profile and can lift cars with only 2.75" clearance, for $85.

Or there is a super coupon for the 1.5 ton aluminium racing jack for $60 which is also low profile for cars with a 3 3/8" clearance.

Which way do I go? This is mostly going to be used for the miata but might do some lifting on other heavier cars too. It will most likely always stay at home. Either one I get I was going to get the HF warranty.

I've got the "aluminum racing jack." I like it.I took the side handles off (they just unbolt) so I can get a jack stand up next to it. It lifts anything I need and will fit under the Esprit.

Heavy duty is heavy and way overkill.

We have the blue aluminum one as well as a much heavier duty one. The blue one gets pulled out first.

i rock that blue one all the time, but i think my front wheel needs greased, it sticks a lot. and my car almost never comes down straight. but for $60 it's great

Yeah I was thinking $60 is hard to pass up for that jack, seem like it is pretty popular.
