From website: Adults, total passenger weight is 200lbs. The "barrel car" is built from a 55 gallon drum! For kids up to 5ft.
Now substitute some metal, throw in an engine...
Inexpensive plans and ingenuity. Fits right in here.
My parents bought one of these things when I was in high school in the early 1970s. It was a lot of fun, but with only one front wheel it could and did roll over when taking fast corners.
I was thinking of taking a bike's mechanics and adding some metal framework and have a 4 wheeled thing. Two persons, sitting low like in the three wheeler above. So I started googling and found that PVC site. Considering when you put me in one of those I reach the max capacity, maybe I'll look more into the metal side of things rather than PVC.
Did you see the size of the adult guy sitting in one? Must be a retired jockey, or of very slight stature/build and height. Yet it shows seating for two....
Google around a bit more, I've seen what you're looking for when visiting a relative in Fl. And it kinda looked homebuilt.
Using conduit/EMT is pretty common in the grassroots bike world & would be a good substitute for PVC.
