Mrs. Dx and I have a table outdoors that her and I built a year or two ago and haven't been able to find chairs or benches that are on the affordable side. Has anyone here built their own outdoor benches or chairs out of pressure treated lumber?

I have, but I don't have any handy pictures, and it was 15 years ago.
The plans were out of a woodworking catalog. It was all cut out of 2X4s, 2X6s and 1X4s. I built 2 chairs and 2 benches. They came out very well and are still around. The chairs and one bench are on my mothers porch and the other bench is in my back yard.
Here's an after dark shot. It's in dire need of a coat of paint.
It's in better shape than it should be. This bench as been outside in the weather since I built it. The set my mom has looks almost new.
Toy's is much better looking then mine, but i made an 8' wide bench sectional out of a 3 used full sized pallets and a shipping crate, sand, cut, screw and stain.
I just built some steps to the deck, and from the leftover wood (OK OK, from the first attempt that I screwed up) I built a small bench for around the fire pit. It is constructed from 2 x 12s and weights about 300 pounds. I do not recommend this method.
Pick up almost any woodworking magazine out on the stands today. Adapt the measurements to fit your needs. Take your time.
Use coated deck screws (not nails). If in doubt, predrill.

And if you berkeley up, you won't have a bad bench, you'll have a bonfire!
But really. A branch recently fell on my wood table. It made a great bonfire.
I did a little digging in the shop. No luck with the plans, so I don't know where I got them, but I did dig up the set of patterns I made. I had planned to make these to sell, so I made some fairly durable patterns. Here is a picture with a yard stick for reference. (or scaling )
The plans showed the backs as a straight piece. I find a curved back to be much more comfortable and a fairly easy modification.
The top piece is the back for a chair.
Next is the back for the bench.
Next is the bottom.
Next is the leg.
The front leg is just a straight piece. It measures out to 22 3/4"
You would need 2 of everything.
If you want, I can take some more detailed shots of the finished bench. The chair is basically just 1/2 of the bench.
Here are a couple of other shots of the patterns.
Oh, and I'm pretty sure I figured out why my shop is such a disaster. I apparently save everything.
And for some reason I have a 4' "yard" stick. Go figure.

Great, now I want to get back into woodworking.
Thanks.
So, I have been cleaning shop all weekend and came across this.
Here is where the plans for the bench and chairs I built came from.
This was before the era of computers, so no website on the plans, but a quick google search found them.
