Just as the title says, is the let go app any good? Is it a worthy alternative to Craigslist? Will it release an angry army of spambots on every electronic thing that touch after I sign up? Thanks.

Co worker I'd looking for a car for his daughter, been trying the other new app, wallapop.
Most of the adds seem like the scam adds from craigs 10 years ago, to good to be true, 10k cars for 3k, phone area code 1/2 way across the country... he has not reached out to any of the yet, has the same gut feeling I do.

I have a phone area code from South Carolina, I have no south carolina accent and I live in Seattle. Am I a scammer?

Are you selling cars worth 10k+ for 3k?
Most of the ads he showed me where from the same lister, apparently this lister gets smoking deals and is on the fast track to making a million.
Not saying all are scams, but as I said, reminded me of CL years back.

Still? I mean 5 years ago, sure. But people have still not adjusted to cell phones (and other stuff, but mainly cell phones) making area codes almost irrelevant?

Although it's irrelevant what your area code is these days, it's still not the norm for someone to have a different area code than the area they live in. And with the propensity of scammers these days, it makes me (and probably most people) question it at first.
I tried one of those (it seems like there are about 10 out right now), and it seemed to be more of a "Craigslist, but everything" type of app. But, I didn't spend more than a few minutes on it, so perhaps there were categories or ways to filter down to just what I was interested in.

Well, the feed back for it on the Google marketplace was mostly positive, and the developer dies respond to comments and n the feedback, so I'm taking a chance and installing it.
I'm looking for cheap (under $250) motorcycles, pitbikes and scooters, that seem to have dried up on my local CL.
I'll let the community know how it goes.

Wow. I guess that depends where you live. Las Vegas has a highly transient population. More than 50% of the contacts in my phone (for local people) do not use a 702 area code.
I can report that the sellers are no better than CL sellers when it comes to responding to inquiries. I also don't let me how when using the app the date the item was listed isn't available.
I see a suspected scammer has been deleted, but even now, the Letgo app no longer exists as OfferUp has taken them over.
I've sold stuff on there but lately my problem has been replies being non-existent after saying something is for sale/still available.

Same, window shopper like hell
Let Go was great. Bought a lot of good stuff on there. Easybto use. Taylored search areas. Then they got bought out by OfferUp. OfferUp sucks the sweat off a dead man's ass. Damn I hate that E36 M3 of a site. I get suckered into trying it again about every 4 months. Nope, same old BS.
Set the search for 30 miles. Awesome, an exhaust for the FR-S. Dafuq? Its in Syracuse, NY? FROM 3 YEARS AGO? Jesus, I hate that berkeleying site.
Yeah it seems to have tons of old old ads on it now. Hadn't tried to do anything on it in a while but did find my wifes miata on there a couple years ago.
