I was super excited to learn The Sword are playing in Detroit next weekend. Initially I thought of going, but remembered I don't like their most recent album High Country.
In fact I listened to it again today, and it just doesn't do it for me.
Assuming most of their live set will come from this album, would they be worth going to see?
We saw them on their last tour a few months ago--front row!--and it was a killer show.
They did Cloak of Feathers, and I was happy.

Yes, we're seeing them again soon.
I thought this was going to be about Buick LeSabre's.
Le sabre in French means "the saber" or "the cavalry sword"
in English.
Was listening through a bunch of their albums the other day. I liked Warp Riders and Age of Winters.
I've seen them twice in the last year. Last summer I saw them at a big music festival in the area, and this last Thursday at a small venue here in Sacramento. They rocked it! They were pretty good at the big outdoor show, but the small show was that much better.

Age of Winters and Apocryphon are my favorites, but they are all good (that I've heard!).
The latest release has me baffled. It is very well done, don't get me wrong. It just wasn't at all what I expected.
Maybe I will try to get to see them then. Thanks guys!
We have seen them a few times, and it's always a great show. There's something about John D. Cronise's voice that is mesmerizing.
