I'll second Godzilla. It's one of the best sterns in recent years. I'm not a huge fan of stern overall, but Godzilla knocked it out of the park.

But did you sing it to the music of Folsom Prison Blues?

They just released funhouse 2.0 Rudy's revenge. It's an overlay on an original funhouse pin. Pretty neat.

I looked in to this and I'm confused.  Is this an actual pinball machine based on the original or is this a video game?

It's an upgrade to the original pinball machine.  You take an original funhouse pinball, and buy the upgrade kit.  It gives you new back glass, artwork, and program.  Your Funhouse is now a Funhouse 2.0. It's a different game built on top of the old one.

There's an awesome spot by me in Middletown, NY. Combination metal shop, head shop, tees and vinyls, with a big back pinball area. Owned by the same guys for over 35 years. I'm not a huge pinball guy, but the vibes are very cool and very hayday 80s. Owner also sponsors a bunch of circle track events locally too in a GRM connection.

Ah.  Thank you!  I'd love to have one, but not $11K worth of love (+ the upgrade)...

It's a reskin. My understanding is you take a funhouse and convert it.

I'm guessing you're aware of this but if not; Funspot in Laconia (not far from Weirs Beach) has large arcades with vintage games including pinball. Not terribly far from your location.

I was there last week!!!  That place is a time machine for me.  I was there in the 70's as a kid.

Bringing this back up because this hobby sucks. Just when you think you're out, it sucks you back in. Figured I'd look for a used Godzilla, but pricing was close to new, so figured I'd call the local shop. "I'll make you a deal on 2" was said..

Cool. There’s a diner/breakfast spot near us that has some pinball machines. We ate there this weekend but had to get going after eating.

In the mid 80s I spent my summers working in an arcade in Ocean City, MD. I spent a lot of time playing pinball and servicing pinball machines. The standout in my memory was "F-14 Tomcat" from 1987. It was our hottest machine that summer. I always figured that sooner or later a machine would fall into my lap but the collector market has made that pretty unlikely.

Ocean Casino. Between 9th & 10th on the boardwalk.

Based on your interest in pinball and employment at Photon, I suspect we have (had) a friend in common.

I'm sure we do/did at one point.  Family still lives in OC, and Brother owned an arcade between Wicomico and Somerset on the boardwalk in the 80s/90s

I was thinking of my old buddy Gary who worked at Ocean Casino when I did. He had previously owned an arcade in DE and in the late 80s opened one at 142nd street. After that, he owned an arcade in Ocean Pines for quite a few years. He was a laser tag nut as well.

How did I miss this the first time around?

I love pinball. Favorite place to to play it is Funspot's American Classic Arcade Museum up in Laconia NH.

They have A LOT of machines there, ranging from the very early stuff to the latest and greatest. Favorite all-time machine, like many others, is The Addams Family.
