Hawaii 5-0 Thread.

So we're a few episodes in now. For the guys that watch the show, what do you think?

I like it. It has a great setting, a good cast, and new Camaro as the "Hero" car that they actually flog the hell out of.

The plots don't seem too cheesy either. Also, at times, it seems to get pretty graphic with dead bodies and injuries.

Apparently no love for Hawaii 5-0.

its kinda Meh in my opinion. The plots arent terrible, but the "factual cop stuff" just isnt there...a lone cop de-shirts, swims up to and boards a ship full of hostages alone without consulting the uppity ups int he dept? c'mon.

I do like tweeter and Jin though, glad to see them still working!

It's pretty....I watch it mostly to see scenes of places I saw on vacation

watched an episode the other night because it was on and i wasn't going to watch a football game with vick in it. has anyone else noticed the really cheesy low budget special effects they've used? like walker texas ranger cheesy. there was a shootout between the good guys in two vehicles, shooting at a couple guys in some other vehicles. the GG shoot out the radiator and tires on the BG vehicles, but when they show the tires and grille getting shot out, they switch to an older model tahoe getting shot at, and the old style tahoe wheels getting the tire flattened. then cut back, and hey, its a new tahoe again!

not to mention the obviously fake shooting with no recoil, and fake ricochet sparks off the body

And also, During a typical 5.0 shootout, everyone is basically standing in the open just squeezing away at each other, no real effort to gain a tactical advantage or move to a different position...sqeeezy squeezy squeezy, drop the clip with one hand (cuz it looks cool)and reach for the new clip with the other, wash, rinse repeat. Lame

exactly! guy must have pulled 4 mags from his single mag pouch in that shootout, too

Wait... it has a Camaro in it? I thought it was supposed to have the new 5.0?

/me is so out of touch with pop culture ever since I stopped watching broadcast television...
