Well, she did marry me, so.....
A lot of it has to do with working in smaller, "high tech" like fields. My job is pretty flexible too, which is really nice.
I find Linked-in to be aimed at people who are trying to "grow" a business. I hate that term in this context. Yet I do have an account. I was told to add a picture. I added a picture. Wish I had videoed some of my accomplishments-too busy accomplishing them. I recognize the value in self promotion, but lack that life skill.
Monster is long dead, ditto the newspaper. I like the ideas about networking, however. I got in touch with a college buddy who is an engineer in the area. He had some good ideas that I continue to investigate. He also recommended checking job listings weekly.
