Hello

So I’ve been a lurker for years now. Found lots of good and useful information on this site, and decided I would finally make a post.

I just graduated from college in June and moved to the greater Philadelphia area for work. I’m going pretty crazy not having much to do outside of work. I’ve always been a hands on guy, never really into sports or video games just mainly random projects at my parents house or working on one of my cars. In college I spent what free time I had down in the FSAE shop working on those cars. Being young and houses being expensive, I am not able to bring any of my projects out here yet. 1991 Mazda Rx7 built to SCCA ITS, and a 77 Ford Early Bronco.

So if anyone needs any help wrenching on a car or working on a house. I work for beer, food, car talk…

Also if anyone knows of garage/shop space in the greater philly area for rent let me know!

Welcome aboard Wes! I'm just outside Philly in NJ, about 10 minutes across the Commodore Barry bridge. Always happy to have someone stop by and bench race if you get bored.

LOTS of BABE rally teams in the philly area too so pop over to those forums as well (www.baberally.com) and see if maybe there's a team forming in the area for next year which could use some help if you are inclined toward that type of insanity :)

JThw8 im always down for some bench racing. the bridge is not far from where i live and work at.

Great event! I'll be there (racing) along with maybe some others from this board who'll be spectating (this is a specator event.....check the NJMP website for ticket info).

If you are bored this coming weekend the BMWCCA is racing at NJMP. I'll be trailering down Thursday night to instruct at the HPDE that is run concurrent with the race. Its a bit late to sign up to drive but they have two kart tracks operating, a lot of cool cars and a combo of real and bench racing all weekend. You can scratch up a ride pretty easily if you have an SA2000+ hat to wear.

Knowing your classing and owning a rotary is a great way to make friends here for sure. I know very little about both, Im not really sure why they let me stay.

Welcome to the area. I live in Bucks County which is about an hour north of Philly. There is a ton of lurkers in the area and there is tons of great beer to drink in the area!

Who are you crewing for? I have a bunch of friends running IP, DM and CM so I'll be bouncing around all day. I'm easy to spot - I have the loudest E30 in the history of mankind. Its two tone flat black with a grease paint skull on the hood. Swing by - we will probably be drinking beer as soon as the track closes.
