I was going to recommend Tree House but I figured that someone in the area might actually have a tree house.

That one likely wouldn't fly (well, honestly almost none of these would fly :P), since the properties surrounding ours were all bought by a company that builds and rents actual treehouses- to our frustration this spring they started building one on the lot on the other side of the caves and completed it several months ago (our frustration came from them building a complete treehouse in less time than it took to take ours from where the first contractor got it to finish, not that they built it in general...).

In reply to Ashyukun (Robert) :

Then, maybe Tree Tops is a good name.  It might help you to compete with the real tree houses.  It also negates the issue of all the steps by highlighting the height in a positive way where others may see the steps as a negative.

Of course, some of this makes the assumption that you are at the Tree Tops or at least in the top portion of the trees.

I was serious about Tippy. You're at the tippy top. Looks kind of tippy when you first see it. Is it going to tip over? Descriptive without smashing you in the face with "Beautiful Cabin in the Trees" level of naming.

Tippy

Not Tippy Cabin or Tippy House or Tippy Acres, just Tippy.

Are those Mountain Laurels I see?  How about Laurel Heights?

Curtis' answer has some merit.   Further, what type of trees are these?  Sure they may be pines or evergreens but more specific.  Then from there add in some descriptor like heights.  I know these are not Apen tree (I know little to nothing about trees) but then Aspen Heights or The Cave at Aspen Heights

My wife and I came up with a name for our house...

We are down a shared private drive.  At the end of the drive is a 4 unit condo building and our house.  The condos are called Plum Brook Manor (on Plum Brook Country Club)

For us we went with Ty Gwyn (pronounced Tee Gwinn.)  In the Welsh language it means White House (or actually House White)  Also seems to mean Blessed House.  Over our foyer to great room is this plaque...

I like the way Stairway to Heaven makes the stairs a good thing (even though I hate Led Zeppelin), but I half think drawing that much attention to the stairs may not be a good idea. If options are being discussed, anybody pushing for your cabin can't mention it without reinforcing the stairs...

I like the Laurel Heights thing. "Heights" is good. Not sure whether or how to get the cave part in there.

That's a fair point- but at the same time, we don't want to in any way hide or downplay the stairs: having someone rent the cabin, show up, and go, "Berk this, I'm not climbing that many stairs!" is far worse than someone seeing it and going, "Nope, too many stairs." and renting a different one since with the latter someone else could still rent it.

While a lot of these are good (and many that aren't are still worth a good laugh), it's likely going to be a tough sell to get The Dancer on board with any of the ones besides the original options. I'll definitely be passing on some of the more serious suggestions though as nothing is set in stone yet...
