Wee pieces thread on the end.  Larger pieces with knurl slide easily on shaft.

Old school clutch alignment tool. Small theaded bits for different size spigots, large sliding collars to fit inside the clutch disk splines, slides so it can cater to different depths from the spigot to the outer face of the clutch disk.

Here's the modern version

Totally makes sense.  I wasn't expecting that, as it came in a collection of tools previously owned by a Machinist. Makes sense though.

Makes sense as a clutch alignment tool. Cant think of why the large piece is knurled?
