Ok, so we have an LG fridge with the freezer on the bottom. The unit is about 2 years old and just before Christmas it started making a noise when the fan came on. Shortly before that we had noticed ice forming on the stuff in the freezer and on the drawers themselves. I suspected the noise was from ice forming around the fan, and I was right. After removing everything from the freezer and taking off the interior back panel I found ice around the smaller of the 2 fans. Once the ice was melted I reassembled it and it worked great, no more noises. This lasted about a week to 10 days at which point the ice returned along with the noise. The seal looks good. I know the door is closed completely. We're not putting hot or wet items in the freezer. What else do you guys think it could be? Thanks for your input!
If you're putting bodies in the freezer they have to be in bags if you vacuum seal the bags more will fit in. The issue was putting them in without bags is the skin will get pulled into the air intake for the fans causing them to shut off and then ice will form because it'll be too humid.

See! I told my wife someone here would know what it was and it only took like 7 minutes...Thanks!
Mine does that freeze over thing every year or so, I thought it was due to my wife over stuffing the thing; repairman said because the door was open or a leaky door gasket.
YMMV.
My mom has been having a similar problem with part of the ice maker on her Samsung bottom-freezer machine. Part of it ices over and stops mechanical process. The service guy told her it's because an air seal had goon bad somewhere in the back and it was pulling in moisture that iced up outside the normal defrost cycle. He said it was a common problem and there was a specific Samsung-branded sealant that he used to reseal it. It's been good since. So, a similar situation to what 914driver mentioned.
Thanks for the input, i'll double check the seal tonight.
I was gonna say it really sounds like a seal, but I guess I don't have to!
