Yes, I'm asking for help finding a toy. Its driving me nuts lately.
As a kid, I had a Fisher Price airplane. It was blue over white. It was a twin engined prop plane. It looked an awful lot like a Cessna 310.
Behind the cockpit, there was a a black lever that would raise and lower the landing gear. Underneath the fuselage, there was a pistol grip, that when you squeezed it the props spun. This is a toy from around 1979-84 as best I can remember.
E-bay and Google are no help.
Thank you. Just...thank you.
Less than 30 mins for the correct response. Good ol GRM

Werd. I read Appleseed's post and thought "hah, goodluck with that one!"
And then there it is .
I think, collectively, the GRM forum as a whole knows EVERYTHING.

whenever there's a toy thread like this, I always hope it's about this:
Wow, I had that very contraption. Thanks for the unexpected memory!
When I was a kid, SSPs were my favorite. Last week I bought my three year old a mini SSP, new in the box, from eBay for $14. They're still fun.
And.....I just bought another one....
I forgot about SSP's. I was a bit old for them when they came out and was a bit perturbed that they weren't available when I was a little kid.
I liked the derby car version of SSP. Complete with parts flying off when they hit things.
Do ya'll remember Crack-Ups?

I had a van that would flip over, I wonder if that was part of that line.
I think you guys helped me find an old Tonka truck I had as a kid too. Had to get it for my son(Jeep honcho race truck). He loves it too.
Jetfire was one of my absolute favorites growing up:
I was also crazy about the GI Joe Skystriker F-14:

I was the guy that answered that. I was hoping the toy-karma would come back around. It did.
Unfortunately, the Canadian in Wally's link wants something like $40 to ship. I'll keep hunting. though.

thanks, Scott, you just made me kill my lunch finding this:

there were many a battle between my GI Joe collection and the Dino-Riders:
Thanks guys, now I'm going to waste my lunch hour on the Micro Machines Museum.

I had a bunch of MASK and that GI Joe Plane. Loved it all. I need to find me a new Voltron too.

You WERE the guy that found that for me. And I am forever grateful. Now to buy one for the mini-me....
