I went a little gung-ho trying to put something together the other day and snapped this bolt. Google (and what I can read from the instructions) is a ball bolt. It's 1.25 inches/30mm long, it should be an M6 thread based on the supplied nuts. I couldn't find it at menards in the nut/bolt section. Is it in another section or what other stores could I look at?
From the diagram you supplied it looks like that belongs on a Mazda 6 so perhaps check with your local Mazda dealership.
Also, WTF is that Russian??!

looking for "ball stud", you come across a lot like this: http://www.amazon.com/Studs-Thread-Automotive-Marine-industrial/dp/B00J8X4SDU
not sure if you can make that work in your config.

It's an upside-down Asus emblem.

Did you try an actual hardware store? I'm a typical big box store patron, but when I wonder into a real hardware store I'm always surprised by the variety of things there.

Thanks, looks like that would work.
I've got a local who's willing to cnc a bolt. If that doesn't work, I have this to try.

You would need to discard the shank part but for $5-7 you could be pretty close.
