Clearing out my parents house for eventual sale. Dad sold most antique furniture from my grandparents back in the 2000's. This is some of what remains. It has value but I'm unsure about it. I've been outta the auction loop for over 15 years now as well as reselling.

This blonde bedroom set is mid-50's, their first bedroom set after marriage. I initially referred to it 'retro' and thought it might be worth more than just general furniture. A 'furniture guy' was here and called it mid-century and said mid-century is hot right now. He sells CL, FB MP and has a store at local mall. Not heard back from him yet.

My sister researched 50's blonde furniture and found several similar blonde bedroom sets asking $1600-1800 or BO on Ebay. I doubt they will ever get it but I just need a ballpark number to throw out for CL and FB MP.

I didn't get the manufacturer but it was built in NC. Pretty solid, not cheap ass E36 M3.

Sorry about the crummy pics, this is what I was left with.

Cedar wardrobe, date unknown, nice piece though.

Mid- 50's cedar wardrobe w/ mirror. Heavy, some scuffs.

This could be Depression Era, dunno. Nice though.

I'll get more info when I can. This isn't really my job, it was up to my brother and sister to research this stuff. They don't want to be here to sell it either. So, add the furniture to my list of E36 M3 to do here.

I sell Mid Century Modern furniture.

That blonde stuff is going to be a tough sell...

Etsy is a good site for comps.  And, you may contact sellers there to see if they're interested in purchasing for resale.

You'll need to log in to post.
