Taken in Colorado. Allegedly had three dog collars in his stomach.
Big kitty!
That is a big ol' cat. I am looking forward to running a friends hounds after bobcats in a couple of weeks. It is the most interesting hunting that I have done.

Really? I had always heard that carnivores are not so good eating.... Hm.

It WAS the can opener!
Aren't they an endangered species? Perhaps just the Florida Panther. Either way, that is a HUGE cat!

I believe in certain situations, land owners, whom have had predated livestock, can obtain licenses to harvest them.

Myth as a blanket statement. Equally mythic, the notion that herbivores make good eating. Try a muskrat some time. Now there's a funky tastying little herbivore!
Scavangers too. I've no desire to actually eat a vulture, but I do eat crabs.
Mountain Lions / Cougars aren't very rare in CO, MT, or WY.
They are legal to hunt, although I'm not sure what the restrictions are.
When I lived in CO, every now and again a jogger would get attacked by one. (usually a kid or small woman) It didn't happen very often, but was pretty freaky as sometimes they would be found within the city limits of Denver.
Usually they aren't all that big, and don't like to be around humans. The one in the pic is absolutely massive! Shame they put him down.
I've found that how good a game animal tastes seems to be directly related to how quickly it dropped after it was shot.
Fast kill = better meat.
Likewise, does seemed to taste better than bucks.
In both cases, I think it has to do with adrenaline and hormones.
I like big cats, but also support hunting. I haz mixd feelings.... So as long a whatever laws are in place were being followed, that's gonna be an impressive piece of taxidermy.

I have no problem with hunting, but I'm not a fan of taking predators out of an equation, unless it has become a threat to people.

Yes basically this. Not huge fan of killing off such an impressive creature, but if it is a legal hunt to each their own.
Wow, BIG kitty.
But aside from coyotes, I don't think I could bring myself to take out a predator for sport.
That's what every house cat thinks they are. I swear mine are just waiting for the day I'm a bit under the weather so they can take me down.
That sucks. They should have trapped it and sent it out East where it could take down some of the Deer population...

Should send it to D.C. to thin that population.

I have known cats like that. If they ever figure out how to open cans on their own.. the human race is doomed
