That's an S2000 engine in there.
Video link anyone? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WS1CL-n_KRI

WTF--wow...
That is berkeleying incredible. I love it. Clean as hell, too. Looks like the handling is set up nicely.
Man--if Honda had ever built an RWD EG--I dunno. That might have been too much for the world to handle.
Great find.

+10! FWD sucks. Too bad thats the way most stuff is built.
That looks really cool.
Now that they've converted it to RWD, they can finish the job and swap in an LSx.
Seriously though, do you have any more pics of the car or the build?

I believe you are in search of the Civette that's been bouncing around the internet for a year or three now? '01 Corvette engine/driveline/suspension stuffed into a late '90s Civic HB body. and, if memory serves, before you count wheels and tires and such, I think it would have fit the Challenge budget
Drool inducing indeed.
It's funny (and dorky), but I wonder if they got the idea from Forza or the other way around? You can do the same swap in the game (Forza 2 at least).
Hmm, call me when it has an LSx, Corvette wheels and was built for under $2000.
Its just metal guys :)
Keeping it in house with the FC20 or whatever is a pretty great swap, but here is one for those who dont share the purist sentiment...
Looking at the related videos, what is this? It looks like a, dare I say, SR20 powered, fender flaired, rwd, Echo. Don't let Beaterworld see this.

I don't have anymore info. I found the picture and vid on another forum. There's probably a thread or something out there, but it's probably in Japanese.
Edit: I looked around online, and while I actually came across another similar build, I still can't find any real info on either of them. It seems whoever does this type of thing doesn't talk much.

That's a shame. I think I'd flip if I saw a clean EG with a diff cover poking out from underneath.
