Honestly, I'm not sure what my budget is either, but I'm pretty sure that 15k is out of bounds,
Thanks anyway!
Still looking........
I'm still betting that my hypothetical best deal will be a private one and involve chainsaws and machete's!

No that was the road race amphibious helicopter! Totally different.
Years ago people would darn near give away Beech 18s. Seems they have a spar issue that grounds them.

That would be a LOT of cool airplane.
Heck I would probably be in one of those as much as the boys, haha.
Maybe one of these has something for you.

That's a large airplane. It could be a great candidate.
I'd be interested to know more...

I will reach out to a few folks down your way that may have items of interest as well. I know your trailer will be able to handle the weight.

I used to belong to the EAA, They always had good deals in the back of their Magazine.
It is always a slippery slope looking at half finished projects that can be had for pennies on the dollar.
I flipped a lot of planes in High School.

Was it this one?My Dad and I bought it so we could get our twin rating. It was cheaper than renting a plane. We kept it at Pontiac airport then sold it to a guy that was going to use it as a Bank Delivery plane. After flying with him on the test flight I figured he was going to lawn dart it when his heart gave out fro all the coke and speed he took.
In reply to MulletTruck :
No it's not that one my friend drove down south to Arkansas or Alabama I can't remember he trailered it home. He bought it from an estate. the fellow that owned it had not flown it in 10 years but kept the maintenance up to date but his wife had lost the log books so there is no proof of any maintenance. My buddy bought it for the engines he's building a Vans RV-10
