didn't know about it until I changed rims the other day, and the wider 14's rubbed on the fender over bumps. Investigating the situation found 2 broken coils. they have since been replaced...I think this helped the car's hunger for tires....

Cool-that solves the common problem of not enough spring rate when cutting springs. Cut em and leave both parts in!
I guess that explains why the rear sits so high ;)
Ironically, the car did not rub with the Volkswagen 15" wheels and 195/50r15s.
I knew about that when I first bought the car!
