Sky Hoops, they relocate your shock mounting point way up in the wheel well so you can get about 10" of articulation in your suspension. This is an off-road thing, it's taken me a while to get away from the "Tight is good" logic. Also 6.5 : 1 gearing for the transfer case. I'm so excited.
Hoping to be climbing a telephone pole near you....

Hmm interesting, what are those shocks?
Dan, it isn't polite to disparage the sexual orientation of your UPS driver.

Don't know, I just opened one for show & tell.
Slightly OT, but I'm picking up a Sidekick from my in-laws in a week or so. I know they're similar to the Sammy, but also have their own quirks & differnces. What are the good resources on the net? I've done some googling, but wasn't very happy with the results.
Look like Deutsch Tech from the faux-toes

The Sidekick is basically just a slightly larger and less spartan coil-sprung Sammy. A lot of the drivetrain parts are different though.
Congratulations. Because Sidekicks are newer than Sammys, I assume they are fuel injected, better for off-road.
The first site is the one I bought the gears and suspension stuff from, they were $250 cheaper than anyone else for the same kit from the same manufacturer. Poke around the others just for information.

Two message board to peek at, tread lightly; these aren't like a HondaRicer board, but use the search option before posing a question.

Show me pictures when you get the Kick.

Cool, thanks!
Oh, and any idea if the JD Whitney tops are even worth trying? That's going to be my first purchase...

Mine has a Bestop (?) Besttop (?) which was new when I bought the Sammy. If it was ratty and I had to buy one I would look at the same company but buy the fastback type. With the squareback top you have this big goofy bar sticking up in the air if you take the top off on the road.
Ask JCW who makes theirs.
