HF battery powered impact - 1200 !?! ftlbs

I've played around with a buddy's Milwaukee mega gun and it was awesome.  Great way to make yourself popular a the pick 'n pull.

The Dewalt impact can be had for ~200 w/o battery.  Does HF use a common battery amongst their tools these days?

My HF had one of these on their clearance rack for $130 and I almost bought it. Maybe I should have.

I used to use the cheap Goodyear wrench, but have had a Kobalt for the last year that I’ve really liked.  Only thing it hasn’t always worked on is heavily rusted leaf spring u-bolts.

I hope you guys still like this, going to buy one tomorrow morning if it's in stock.  Swapped wheels on the WRX today, borrowed an impact from coworker who didn't give me the socket adapter for the thing.  Home Depot trip didn't turn out when I bought the wrong thing, said berkeley it and did it manually.  I'm getting too old to do this with a breaker bar.

I just picked one up yesterday, it was the last one on the shelf at my local store. 

My overall first impressions are favorable. It has more torque then my crappy old compressor and air impact, so that's a plus. 

It's top-heavy, and the battery is small, so it doesn't stand up well like a normal driver. Not a big deal, just make sure not to put it somewhere it can topple over/off. 

Once the lug nuts broke free, they don't spin off as fast as my air impact, but again it's not really a big deal. 

There's no adjustment for torque, and I was concerned about snapping wheel studs when I remounted them, but fortunately it wasn't a problem. 

I'm not a fan of the light that comes on every time you pull the trigger, but that's just minor. 

It seemed to work well for my needs, I just wish it was $100 less.

While there's no adjustment for torque, at least it's variable speed, so you can run the lugnuts down, without gorilla force.
