Yup. You get used to the instant on and the lack of brakes pretty easy. Wheels are boat trailer wobble rollers.

I'd love to see the plans for that. i've seen the midget karts before and they look like too much fun.

Small world!

We've build several similar things in our college engineering lab.

What tires/wheels are you using? (we're using the cheesey $8 / 10" pneumatic from Northern Tool)

Three of our's have been powered by weed-wacker engines and we've got two powered by Toyota starter motors. For the Fall semester, we're looking at the new four-stroke Briggs mini-engine used on some weed-wackers.
