i want to get a Japanese crapbox of some sort, put a big red dot on the door, and get a custom plate that says "ZERO"..

then sit back and wait for the idiots that think i like that craptastical band called Smashing Pumpkins..

Maybe the flags in use at the event...but otherwise no.

Why is it in poor taste when labeling a car on the road, but not when labeling an autox event and ~1/2 of the cars in attendance? Who gets to decide where the line in the sand gets drawn?

Honestly this is no different than the thousands of confederate flags you see floating around. Is it poor taste, sure. Offensive, not To me.

Not going to say what is or is not in poor taste, just interesting that the victor gets to determine it. One could try to argue that simply owning anything from an axis country is in poor taste because of the war. Now that Germany, Japan, and Italy are our allies, should we see this as embracing our friends culture? Those who do not learn from history...

I think an all-out ban on vanity plates nationwide is in order. There is no way human beings can put as many as seven letters on a license plate without those seven letters being offensive to someone.

Axis Power is a common shop name for tuners of German, Japanese, Italian vehicles these days. Its no more offensive IMHO than a plate reading "NATOPWR" "UNPWR" or "USSRPWR" if you built a crazy Lada....

People take offense at too much anymore, with the way this is going, we'll never be allowed to even speak in the near future.

My godsons are Japanese-Italian. Their dad (Japanese-American) has said, well, they're a combination of Axis powers!

Because that is not a Confederate battle flag.

It's the insignia of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, which was founded in 1896.
