On a brighter note the stickers from one of the online Ukraine charities showed up.

Another question to ponder about the endgame - if Putin's goal is to install a puppet dictator, what sort of man (Putin is probably not going to be very equal opportunity when it comes to job applicants) would take the job? It would be a tough balancing act between facing a Ukrainian firing squad and another Russian invasion.
An incompetent dictator won't last long at that. A competent dictator would know this is very likely and have an exit strategy - probably disappearing to someplace in South America with as much money as possible. Neither is likely to be what Putin wants, unless what he really wants is an excuse to send in a larger occupying force.

So, Oligarch yachts are being seized but what is the secondary market on these types of boats? Especially if you can't sell it to another Russian Oligarch?

In reply to Hungary Bill (Forum Supporter) :
That is so great. Glad to see all of that outpouring of love and support. The world can be a good place sometimes.
If you need anything down the road, More than happy to help as I can. I know that sometimes the initial support is through the roof then it fades off as time goes on.

Hungary Bill is indeed a hero.
Tunakid 3 was watching some news item on this a few days ago and he remarked to Tunawife "This city looks really nice. It looks like Greenville kinda. This is just a coffee shop." I hope he never loses that humanity. These are people, people living in a modern city, raising families like you and I.

What about a competent strategist? If someone took Putt Putt aside, and took control, and said "hey we apologize, we are pulling our troops back, punishing the war criminals, sending aid to Ukraine, and putting our country back together. We're going to have a free election in six months." They would literally be the most popular leader in the world, and likely win that election anyway.
In reply to Hungary Bill (Forum Supporter) :
I have been crying since I read your post about the soccer ball. Thank you for what you are doing. Let me know what else the kids need.
Walking by the TV in the break room and Fox stated that Ammo Incorporated has shipped 16 crates totalling one million rounds of 7.62x39 ammunition, it has reached Europe and waiting for clearance for distribution.
In reply to QuasiMofo (John Brown) :
I wonder if those 7.62 Russian rounds are old red surplus. I doubt it, but the thought of firing on an enemy with their own ammunition is a bit entertaining.
In reply to barefootcyborg5000 :
Nope, new press US mil spec.
It IS the million rounds Richard Childress was on about as well.

Absolutely, I may have missed it the last few pages, Hungary Bill what's the best way to donate for those of us on this side of the pond.

Man, I cant even tell you how long I sat and watched them kick that damn thing. It was one of those times where you just wanted to take a picture and share so everyone could see it, but doing so would have soured the moment.
Thank you, and will definitely do.

Like Navalny?
"According to polls conducted by the Levada Center in September 2020, 20% of Russians approve Navalny's activities, 50% disapprove, and 18% had never heard of him.[370] Out of those who were able to recognize Navalny, 10% said that they have "respect" for him, 8% have sympathy and 15% "could not say anything bad" about him. 31% are "neutral" towards him, 14% "could not say anything good" about him and 10% dislike him."
It'd be interesting to know how he'd fair in a similar poll today. Not sure how biased the Levada Center is, either, but it sounds like the Kremlin doesn't like them, so that's a good sign.

Let's just go back to "Hungary Bill is a hero, and thank God for those able and willing to receive refugees."
War sucks and these poor people are displaced from their homes and separated from their loved ones all because of one man's ridiculous ego trip.
In reply to Javelin :
Some people just don't learn. So, you get what we had here. Which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
Also HB is awesome.
In reply to John Welsh :
I am imagining what is happening to these oligarchs are the end scenes from xyz druglord take down movie except they aren't firing guns off just trying to get away. Maldives must be a interesting spot right now.
