Nationalize the businesses. One way to make sure they never ever come back.
Hope Russia is happy with the price of the ruble.
Yeah, they better watch out on that stuff, or the next thing you know they will be communists.

The one I find interesting is the 100s of leased passenger aircraft that are stuck in Russia. Mostly leased from Ireland Aercap.
Seems that Russia can not do the maintenance on these planes, and if the maintenance records lapse their value plummets. I guess deferred maintenance is a big no-no in the airplane industry.
I guess God forgot to mention Rule #1 to the Russians as they tend to go the opposite direction given the chance.

The rhetoric here on solid ground is one thing, but I wonder if the Cosmonauts would really follow though on an order like that?

Well, he'd promise to at a minimum. Its just that promise is one he could actually follow through on.

Just send the Space Force up to get him
If Kazakhstan decides to cozy up with China and away from Russia, Russia may not have a step to land on or a Cosmodrome to launch from.

Kateryna Tyschenko – Friday, 11 March 2022, 16:24
The Air Force Command reports that Russian planes turned around above Ukraine, after which they struck the territory of Belarus.
Source: Armed Forces Air Force Command of Ukraine on Facebook, State Border Guard Service
According to the Air Force Command: "Today at 14:30 the State Border Guard Service received information that Russian planes entered the territory of Ukraine, turned over our towns of Horodychi and Tumeni, and then fired on the settlement of Kopani (Belarus)."
Details: The Air Force added that currently the 9th Border Detachment is observing the occupation of the town of Kopani by enemy troops.
"This is a provocation! The goal is to involve the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus in the war with Ukraine!" the statement reads.
The State Border Guard Service (SBGS) stated that the attack aircraft flew into Ukrainian territory from Belarus, bombed the Ukrainian territory, and then executed air strikes on Belarus.
The arrival of two planes from the neighbouring state was recorded by border guards at the Dubrovytsia section of the Rivne region.
According to the Ukrainian SBGS: "This attack on, and the enemy’s actions towards the towns of Belarus are a deliberate provocation to involve the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus in the war with Ukraine!"
Earlier: Ukraine’s Minister of Defence Oleksiy Reznikov warned that the Russian Federation was planning to fire on Belarus from the territory of Ukraine to involve the country in the war.

At this point Russia is like that kid we all knew in high school who told the grandest tales that everyone knew was crap. We all knew he was lying, but we were just being polite so he thinks he fooled everyone. That's how Russia seems to be doing things. NAZIS! We have to go save them. They shot at our friends! We go to even more war.

That's what Putin has been doing the entire time. Let's send the b squad. Either we win, or they're ground up and we blame Nazis. That didn't work, so we have to kill more of our own dudes to keep the facade. Much more of that and we can probably just let him kill his own guys period.

Judging by the way many so-called adults in this country act, it's not a cultural difference.
Typically those that talk and act the toughest are among the most emotionally fragile, and lack the mental logic to recognize the obviousness of their hypocrisy.
I was watching Forgotten Weapons on the tube of you's (fun channel) and the host linked these three ways to donate to Ukraine. The first two are from the Ukraine National Bank, either for military or humanitarian purposes. The third is for a Charity in the Ukraine (been around since the last time Russia visited Ukraine) that supports combatants with non-weapon equipment (evidently ammunition is okay).

I have looked over the pages, but I have no ability to actually vet anything. I post these in case someone is looking for something more specific than other options listed. If anyone with more skill/knowledge than me can vet any of these, I would always love more info, myself.

To be clear, I doubt these threats are coming from Dmitry Rogozin (head of Russia's space agency) himself, I imagine they're coming from Putin.
But whatever, the rhetoric just sounds so childish and thuggish that rather than being intimidating, it just sounds stupid like some cheesy over acted movie.

*Bites tongue to avoid floundering into patio territory.*
Regarding the whole "Nazi" thing, they were discussing where that came from on NPR. It wasn't totally out of nowhere, but it's weird and conflated history.
So, in WW2, Ukraine had two big threats it was concerned with but also had ties to: Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia. Some Ukrainians sympathized with or even supported one side or the other to a different degree. Most Ukrainians were kinda scared of both groups. They weren't sure which one was the bigger threat.
As WW2 came to a close, it became clear the Soviets were the bigger threat. A lot of Ukrainians fought against Soviet occupation. Some of these had been supporters of Nazi Germany, but really they were all Ukrainian nationalists. Of course, Soviet Russia spun that to be a story that all the Ukrainian nationalists resisting Soviet rule were Nazis.
That myth stuck around in corners of Russia, and so it's an easy (but cheap and erroneous) argument to call Ukrainian nationalists opposed to Russian rule "Nazis".

That's an interesting history, and pretty good perspective.
There's also the photos floating around of some members in the far-right Azov Battalion using nazi symbols in their militia patches and flags. From what I understand, the actual numbers of members are quite small; only several hundred in a population of 40 million.

I agree and feel the same way, I just don't feel like telling someone else they should agree with that. Something about sending money to another country to somebody I don't know. It is definitely not the same type of familiarity like sending to Bill, of the local Red Cross.

Wild how there’s only 600 people in Azov and yet it feels like every day we get three new pics from some western news organization with black sun patches in plain sight. Like yeah if you're trying to deliberately misunderstand all the extremely obvious context you could claim eastern mysticism for the swastika, but 90% of the pictures have been of the black sun which was invented by/for Himmler and never existed before the nazis.
