I'm headed there this weekend (Friday) for the weekend with SWMBO and another couple. All I know is we have a big cabin, there are hiking trails and a cave/waterfall of some sort.
Is there anything else I should do/find while there? (Taking my camera, hiking boots, and handheld GPS to keep from getting lost. And probably the GoPro with the bar attachment I bought recently to try on a stick while hiking.)

You pretty much nailed it. Nice place in the fall.

See if the train is running in Nelsonville for a tour through the hills.
Also, if you do a bit of searching, you can find the route that a couple of the auto mags use for testing.

Nice.
They both live in Columbus, and know the area. They asked me about this cabin and that cabin, I told them to pick one that was nice & tell me what I owed. I wish I had thought to order a few touristy type guides a week ago. In my head I saw cabin, hiking, relaxing with good friends over a drink (even if I don't drink, a beverage in my hand sounded good) & more relaxing. Now I'm wondering if there's more to do.

Eat at Jack's Steak House outside Logan. The decor makes you feel like you'll have to fight your way out like a Hal Needham movie.
Pretty area, but can be pretty busy in the park. We're opting for a weekend at Dillon outside Zanesville instead.
Yeah, great driving, not quite the Dragon but roads that will still make you work. As was mentioned, a very common magazine test area. Best challenge closest to Detroit.

Damn, thinking it was going to be a weekend away from car-stuff. Maybe I can squeeze in a drive Saturday or coming home Sunday. On my way out to my SCCA meeting right now, is there a quick link to driving routes out there?

You can not go to the hills and not drive.
My favorite: Route 374 from US 33 to Route 56. Then turn left on 56 to Route 674? turn left. Rinse, repeat. Get there early before the tourists and stay out of my way. Big Pine Rd is nice change of pace but watch out for bicyclists, a couple of blind crests.
There's also a zip line place by Rock House (or bridge) that's really cool. Might be tough to get into this late. Call for reservations

Well I'm already packing the GoPro so...
Nice area, we went a couple years ago, did the train & trails, hope to get back over some day.
And since you mentioned the cabin...

That area has maybe the best driving roads in the country with way less problems than the infamous Tail.

Looks like I unwittingly gave you the C&D loop. I had heard about it but had never seen a map before. Do not neglect the red portion of the map. Actually there are two Dragon worthy hairpins past Conkles Hollow that are worth it (not far). South to North is better than North to South there. Pack that MR2.
The wife and I go out every now an again. The hike down to the waterfall is always nice, it's on a maintained trail the whole way. Never found much in the way of decent restaurants, but we tend to stay in and fire up the grille anyway.

Ugh I wish! But the xB has a good suspension setup so all is not lost.
The roads are great down there. If you can fit it in a hike on the Rim Trail at Conkle's Hollow is awesome.

Just got home. It was amazing, like all the good parts of Gatlinburg/Dragon without the crappy touristy E36 M3 and only 2hrs away. Conkle's Hollow, Old Man's Cave and Rock House were visited, fires were lit, time with friends was shared. I can't wait to go back & try to convince my car friends to skip the Dragon and go here. So many reasons...
My wife nod I go there all the time to ride our ducatis.
Great roads. We were there last Friday & Saturday.
We don't see much more then apexs and gas stations.

I passed a few bikes while my friend was driving. I should have waved.

I was down there Sunday morning. My 4th or 5th time this season and I'm getting comfortable enough with the area to try some of the back roads. Even more goodness.
I started thinking "why haven't I seen any sports cars down here the whole year"? About 20 minutes later I see a 20 car parade of Ferraris, a few Elises, and some Porsches going the opposite direction. Problem was there were so many they were bunched up as I flew by. It didn't seem like they were able to "enjoy" the road. I'll continue to fly solo.
