I haven't found details yet on exactly what happened but it appears there was an accident and a Renault Clio ended up sideways on the highway. The semi driver evidently doesn't know his hood ornament is a 2800 pound car. Video

I find it totally believable. A friend of mine was killed that way. She and her husband (another friend) decided to change drivers on the shoulder of I-75. He was out of the car walking around to the passenger side, she was inside scooting between the seats. The semi truck hit them at about 60 mph it is estimated. The driver didn't realize he had a bumper made out of a Honda Accord for 2 miles! She died about 18 months later.
