I lived in my last house for 25 years. We recently moved to a new neighborhood. I've had more Trick or Treaters in the last 25 minuets that the last 25 years combined. I hope the wife bought enough candy.

It seems to be feast or famine nowadays for sure. We've had one group so far for 3 total trick or treaters... which is 3 more than we got all night last year.
Margie
We have had 2 so far this year. Two years ago was the high water mark of 6.
Edit: Just had 3 more. That woke the dog up!
2nd Edit: # 6 was just here. Now tied for most ever.
I've been through half a bowl of candy so far. I'm starting to wonder if an emergency trip to the store might be in order.
I haven't bought candy in years. Back when I did stock up most kids were too lazy to walk up the 100' driveway, only a few did so we were stuck w/ all that candy. Me and the gf would be on a sugar buzz for a week after that... cuz ya can't waste candy ya know. I leave my porch light off now.
The door bell just gave it's resignation. It no longer "ding dongs". Just a buzz, donk. I'm going to have to go sit on the porch just to give it a chance to cool off.
Bought some Twix, but I haven't been at this house Halloween night. Ever. The perfect situation is I have a ton of Twix. To myself. I'm hiding them from my wife.
In eight Halloweens we have never had so much as a ghost so we never get any candy cause I'll just eat it. Wouldn't you know it, I got to disappoint a lovely little witch early this evening.
Just turned off our porch light after a grand total of 5. Last year we had a bunch. The weather is really nice, too.
Well, they are done here. Total for the night 100+. At 8:30 though, someone threw the switch and they stopped.
I'm surprised at the number of parents who follow their kids around in the car. I'm a fat lazy guy and even I don't do that.
Passed out candy in front of our church . Me, Wife, Daughter. We had about 4 dozen. Hot apple cider for parents. I had fun.
42 homes in this subdivision ,and we had 10 kids show up. That leaves about 2 dozen little bags of chocolate bars for me.
Wife made up 50 bags of candy. They were all gone at 8:15 so we turned off the lights and shut the door.

Thousands of homes here. We are still sitting at.. well I'm getting all the Twix.
Our new house sees so few we didn't bother to buy candy and kept the light off this year.
Our hold house, same city/different neighborhood, in 2008 we stopped counting @450 individual trick-or-treaters.
And it was always that way since I was young. There were quite a few houses on that street that really decorated the houses up nice and scary. We always did a little, but not like some!
Not many kids showed up at my house this year. I even left the porch light on and swept the walkway. Oh well, looks like lots of candy for me!
We had some rain this evening but still saw a steady stream of kids. We went through several big bags of candy.
Popular costumes: bumble bees (the insect, not the Transformer) plus the usual mix of witches, princes, Batmans and the Scream. Not too many zombies this year. Is the fad over?
One kid asked if my sideburns were real.
My favorites were always Davy Crockett and Zorro. Somehow I feel like those ones have been lost on today's youth.
