My brother and his new bride set off for North Carolina, and his father in law was following with his Oddesey van loaded with stuff. It's a previous generation V6, I'm not certain of the year, but one of the ones known to have tranny problems. It seems the good Reverand P. has blown his second tranny somewhere in the hills of western Virginia. Honda has replaced this once before, has anyone heard of or had Honda cover the replacement of a second one? He wasn't sure but asked if I could try and find out. Thanks

I figured since this was a Wall-e (Wally) post it would be about the other kind of Trannys.

One of my coworkers has had Honda replace 2 of his trannies. The first was around 60k miles and his 2nd was just after 100k.

I heard they extended the trans warranty to 100k miles, so if it's under that I'm sure they'll cover it. They may cover it even if it's after that.

Gee, and I thought Chrysler was the only one with transmission problems.

From what I gather, my Lovely Wife's Odyssey falls within the range of tranny problems, and it's a 2003 (not sure of other years). I made sure that we got the extended warranty when we bought it.
