I've begun giving my collection to my nieces on birthdays, etc. They get a normal gift plus a car. They do not get "little girl" things from me. Hey, even Barbie needs a car right? The oldest will be 11 in April. Too early for a tool kit??
Nope. Future car guy boyfriend will thank you.
I just bought a 510 and TR6.
As will my bro. (Their dad)
In reply to Conquest351:
I have the 510 in black. Sits on my desk at work.
I just got the silver DeLoreans - regular and BTTF.

Amateur...
(Just playing with you man, mad props to anybody brave enough to put up cars in their office ).
Bonus points if you can name them all!
Those are just the ones at work. ;) And don't worry, it will grow. :D
And.... Testerossa, GTR, Saleen S7, Mustang Shelby GT500, Lotus Esprit, Boxter, Corvette ZR1, Enzo, Evora, Gallardo, Challenger, Ferrari 599, GTO, Murcielago, Javelin, and... Diablo?
Close, but no cigar. You missed the far left one, the far right one, and the blue convertible.
Left to right (ROYGBIV because I couldn't come up with a better way to sort them):
- VW W12 Concept (Bugatti prototype)
- 71 AMC Javelin AMX
- Lambo Murielago
- 70 Pontiac GTO Judge
- Ferrari 599GTB
- 70 Dodge Challenger R/T
- Lambo Gallardo Superleggera
- Lotus Evora
- Ferrari Enzo
- Corvette ZR1
- Porsche 911 Carrera
- Lotus Esprit V8
- Shelby Mustang GT500
- Saleen S7
- Nissan GT-R (R34)
- Ferrari 512M
I have about a zillion more I need to bring over here from storage at home. The home office is surrounded by 1/18th scale ones.
Yours definitely have a GRM vibe though (Datsun 240Z, Mazda Miata, Lotus 7, Datsun 510). You should pick up the Triumph Spitfire, Lotus Elan, and Porsche 914 to go with them!
Ok, I had a feeling I was off on the VW, but a 512 is nothing but a newer Testarossa and you know it!
The GRM theme will be continued. Need to get the E30 Hot Wheels. Yes, one was actually made. :D
I knew the VW would kill anybody
Look to Matchbox (owned by Mattel/HotWheels for at least 15 years now) for other GRM-type cars as well (such as the aforementioned 914 and Elan). The E30 sounds cool! Tomica made an FB RX-7 that would also fit in.
Now don't be upset but I still have my hotwheels & matchbox cars from when I was a kid. Keep them in the same big lunchbox I did back then. Easier to play with that way.
I still have a few from my youth as I was 8 years old when they came out.
Then about 1986 I found a suitcase full at a garage sale for 5 bucks.
Did some checking and found that some of these were bringing real money from folks like me.
At a flea market I found some originals still in the package for (what I thought) was outrageous money. But I had to have that Braham Repco for $15.
I went crazy then and was a trading fool along with my brother...we ended up with over 30,000 hotwheels.
Down to my favorites and a bunch of cheapies that I usually give to kids at car shows and swap meets.
Mustangs are my favorites as my first Hotwheel was a chrome Boss Hoss.

Who makes the Spitfire?
I saw again today while I was buying some more Hot Wheels, it's a GT6 not a Spitfire. Regular Hot Wheels, they had a blue one and I know I've seen other colors. Open-topped w/rollbar.
Spied one of these the other day:
That Holden UTE is badass. I got that & a blue/white GT3 the other day at Wal-mart, oddly they had zero Hot Wheels in stock. Every peg was empty, very strange?

I might ad my hot wheels under reader rides. Some people do that with model cars.
RAGE against people like that. Especially before a few of the people on here that do that labelled them "models." I was always like "oooh, nice collection! Wait... that's some bullE36 M3!"
Reader's Rides. So unless you make some sort of skateboard out of a bunch of them glued to a 2x4...

I used to have hotwheels in my cubicle till someone stole my 240Z like the one in your pic. I'm not sure if I ever found a replacement in the same color. I found a yellow one, but I really liked the white one.
I have the yellow one as well. But nobody better lay a finger on my... hotwheels.
