Boy is this shot crying out for a "fail" poster!
Story from Jalopnik here:
Let's say you're out in the Italian countryside with your bestest, wealthy car collector buddy and he lets you behind the wheel of a $600,000 Mercedes McLaren SLR. Of course, being a douche, you'll find it necessary to take a shot of yourself in front of said SLR posing in your most douche-like stance after you've just wrecked it into a pile of bricks. Yes, you are that guy. Seeing as this bright young chap's "after" picture is readily photoshoppable, we believe it's time to create a legend out of this d-bag — this — "SLR Guy."
What the berkeley is that, rip(?) in the hood??!!!

That is just so perfect. SLR Guy epitomizes douchebaggery. The stupid hat, the glasses, the pursing of the lips, the self-taken photo of his douche-y head in front of the expensive supercar he just trashed, etc.
Things like this make me homicidal...

It looks like there's a number panel on the door - probably an event of some sort?

The douche bag rally?
Could be, but I don't see any of the number stickers on his vehicle
edit: oh wait, you can see it just to the right of his head.
Stupid rich people + the vehicles they can afford = 1 dead supercar + n dead people
SLR Jones and the Temple of Douche has me in tears. OMG, hahaha.
John Brown is today's winner.
So, would he be an example of a "flat biller"??? Or just a douche?
I can not take credit for them, they were on jalopnik as well
I wonder if the original picture isn't photochopped.

Supposedly not, per Jalopnik. If you click through to this link, you'll see some other hilarious chopped versions though. Jalopnik turned it into a contest.
SLR guy photoshop contest results
With the ease of chopping, you have to wonder if the guy really is a part of the original picture in the first place . . .

If you know your way around photo shop, you can find signs of being worked over
edit it looks original, pixilation and levels are too clean, and the reflection in his glasses looks ligitimate given the suroundings

Excellent question pete!
While he does have a flat-bill hat, sunglasses and a douchebag demeanor, and did cause a massive wreck, he is not a flatbiller. Consider:
-
He has no clearly visible tattoos, piercings or goatee - flatbillers must have at least one of these, ideally 2 or 3.
-
Flatbillers wouldn't be caught dead in a "sissy on-road vehicle" as they aren't "extreme" enough.
-
Flatbillers wouldn't be caught dead in Europe.
So he is basically a regular douchebag.
Oh, thanks for clearing that up for me.

He does have a designer flat billed hat maybe he is just posing as a flat-biller.
If you are trying to look like a 'sports enthusiast', I guess it could be.
Well, it isn't your typical generic type of hat and the fact that the inside of the bill and the hat has more "styling" than the outside indicates that it is trying....
