how NOT to weld a diff

yeah, those welds are terrible, no wonder it broke...

and I thought I was a lousy welder.

kid at work has asked me how to weld a diff. I'm glad I found a good picture on the perfect way to do it.

This guy should be in the top running for a darwin award right?

He just needs to pull rear drive shaft & drive in 4-Low Front wheels only until everything smooths out ( or both rear tires wear flat spots.....) Right ?

I can only hope this is a troll's idea of a joke. Anyone that stupid, I would think, should be unable to locate or figure out how to use the on/off switch on the welder.
